Experienced mentors will guide participants through 12 weeks of progressive walk or walk/run workouts designed to help them finish a 5k Mock race. Professionals will educate on form, injury prevention, core strength, nutrition, and safety. RoCo Fit is free of charge to anyone 13 years old or older and live, work, play, or learn in Rogers County. Twice a week mentored workouts at Claremore Lake, weekly educational emails, and professional presentations all included in program. First and last workouts are a pre/post-mile and are held at Claremore High School Track - all other workouts are at Claremore Lake. Ending with a Mock 5k at Claremore Lake on June 8th.

Join Creek County Literacy Program and Sapulpa Chiropractic on Thursday, June 27 at 5:30pm for a free, informative workshop entitled “How to Stay Young the First 100 Years”. The workshop is open to the public. During the workshop, Sapulpa Chiropractic’s Practice Representative Myeesha Hicks will teach participants tips on How to Stay Young the First 100 Years. “You are invited to learn the secret to not only extending your lifespan, but increasing your quality of life,” shares Hicks. A number of topics will be covered, including how to increase your quality of life, extend your lifespan, and heal without drugs. How to Stay Young the First 100 Years is a health literacy outreach project of Creek County Literacy Program, the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, with funding provided by the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
