This winter, go wild and fill your holiday season with the magic of light. OKC Zoo's Safari Lights features a larger-than-life light display showcasing over 59 wildlife-themed light sculptures viewable on a driving tour through the zoo. Feel the holiday cheer with animated light displays, festive treats, kids activities and weekend visits with Santa. In addition to the drive-thru experience, Safari Lights includes a separate walking experience with interactive light exhibits, musical light performances and lots of other winter magic as guests journey through the zoo’s entry plaza, Children’s Zoo and Dino Safari. To make the ride extra cozy, drive-thru attendees can pre-order hot chocolate and kettle corn, as well as glow items to light the night. The Cherokee National Holiday in Tahlequah celebrates the signing of the Cherokee Nation Constitution in 1839. This annual event is a celebration of Cherokee heritage and cultural awareness. The Cherokee National Holiday attracts visitors from across the United States as well as from around the world. The three-day holiday is full of activities for all ages, from traditional Native American games like cornstalk and blowgun shooting, marbles and stickball to tournaments in sports like basketball and softball. Many other events will take place during the Cherokee National Holiday, including a parade, children's events, a quilt show and a car show. Vendors will be on hand offering authentic Native American products such as food, artwork, pottery, blankets and other unique items. The highlights of the celebration will be the inter-tribal powwows, held on both Friday night and Saturday night.

The Choctaw Nation Labor Day Festival will feature traditional arts and crafts, handmade American Indian items on display and sporting tournaments. Visitors will also enjoy a 5K run and walk, as well as softball, basketball, cornhole and volleyball tournaments. The Choctaw Nation Labor Day Festival is the place to be this Labor Day weekend. A great way to begin any day of the festival is by visiting the Choctaw Nation Museum. Enjoy a peaceful day in the country at an authentic working sheep farm, located just north of Claremore off Route 66. Filled with family-friendly activities with no scares. Loads of pumpkins in all shapes, sizes, and colors for purchase, starting at $1.50 each. Admission and parking are free. The only pay-for activity is the Wagon Ride. Enjoy a tractor-pulled wagon ride on a ramp-loading trailer through the hay meadow. Wagon ride tickets are available for $6.50 per person; 2 and under are free. Wagon rides are every 30 minutes. There are over 60 free activities to enjoy on the farm. Explore the walk-through Pumpkin Patch with Hay Maze and Game Area. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. The Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee The Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee will be open each Friday & Saturday during October 2023. Gates will be open from 5:30pm until 10pm. Outdoor Haunts begin at dark & indoor haunts open after the Monster Dance at 6pm. Ticket sales will end at 10pm. The haunts will stay open after 10pm in order to allow onsite ticket holders to use their remaining haunt tickets.
Create new family memories with a trip to the Country Bumpkin Pumpkin Patch in Bartlesville each fall. Open seasonally from late September through the end of October, the Country Bumpkin is more than just a pumpkin patch. Tucked away in beautiful countryside, visitors will also find a variety of activities for children and adults alike. Let the little ones discover and learn in the play area's play kitchen and garden shed, water pump duck races and more. Test your skills in the corn maze or find your way through a panel maze. Go on a tractor-pulled hayride, make a “corn angel” in the kernel bin and pick up goodies at the gift shop. The Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee The Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee will be open each Friday & Saturday during October 2023. Gates will be open from 5:30pm until 10pm. Outdoor Haunts begin at dark & indoor haunts open after the Monster Dance at 6pm. Ticket sales will end at 10pm. The haunts will stay open after 10pm in order to allow onsite ticket holders to use their remaining haunt tickets.

Open seasonally from late September through the end of October, the Country Bumpkin is more than just a pumpkin patch.
