Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd’s Cross & Heart of the Shepherd September 23 – November 8, 2025 Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 am - 6:30 pm Open Monday, October 27th Join Shepherd’s Cross and Heart of the Shepherd for their annual Pumpkin Festival. Enjoy a peaceful day in the country at an authentic working sheep farm, located just north of Claremore off Route 66. Filled with family-inclusive, fun, educational activities with no scares. Admission and parking are free; no hidden costs to spend the day at the farm. There are over 60 free activities to enjoy with your family on the farm. Explore the walk-through Pumpkin Patch with Hay Maze and Game Area. Pet sheep, goats, donkeys, and alpacas in the Farm Animal Barn petting area. Walk the Bible Garden and see pumpkins growing on the vine surrounded by sunflowers and festive fall flora. Find picturesque country scenes for perfect fall family photos. Look around the farm for our QR Code Scavenger hunt and watch short videos about farming and shepherding. The only paid-for activity is the wagon ride. Enjoy a tractor-pulled wagon ride on a ramp-loading trailer through the hay meadow. Wagon ride tickets are available for $6.50 per person; 2 and under are free. Wagon rides are every 30 minutes. Loads of pumpkins are available in all shapes, sizes, and colors for purchase, starting at $1.50 each. Pumpkin Packages are also available, which include a pumpkin (size of pumpkin varies with type of package), wagon ride, and a take-home craft or bring some old clothes to make your own scarecrow. Packages start at $9.50 per person. Inside the Amish-built barn, browse the Farm Store with handmade décor, gifts, and wares from over 80 local consignors as well as local honey, meat, produce, eggs, baked goods, candy, and snacks. Explore the Farm Museum and Silo with animated Percy the Perfect Pumpkin story time and watch fiber demonstrations in the Wool Mill. There are modern indoor restrooms. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility, a Made in Oklahoma Company, an Oklahoma Museum Association member, Oklahoma Farmer’s Market Hub, and a Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Animal Welfare Approved farm. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Because of their generosity, admission to Pumpkin Festival is free and operates by donations. Suggested donation is $5 per person; suggested, not required. All donations benefit Heart of the Shepherd’s international and local mission outreach programs.

Dress up in your favorite costume and join us Thursday evenings in October for the BOOtanical Experience in the Driskill Children’s Discovery Garden! The Garden will be transformed into a glowing, magical space where families can wander lighted pathways, visit BOOtanical booths that mix fun with learning—including hands-on games and activities about monarch butterflies and other cool insects (yes, even Maggot Painting!)—plus meet costumed characters and collect plenty of treats along the way. Every child participating needs a BOOtanical add-on ticket, in addition to regular admission. Children will receive a wristband and treat bag with their BOOtanical ticket scanned at the door. $10 per child (ages 0–18) for Garden members; $12 per child (ages 0-18) for non-members BOOtanical. Adults just need regular admission ticket—no extra charge. Add-on your BOOtanical ticket when purchasing your admission ticket online. The Hex House is an intense, multi-element, walk-through haunted house attraction themed around a dark chapter in Tulsa's haunted past. Pleasant Valley Farms Pumpkin Patch in Sand Springs grows one of the largest variety of pumpkins and winter squash in Oklahoma. With over 90 varieties from 13 countries, the farm also provides information on each variety's use, including baking, pies, jams or decoration. Nearly two dozen vendors and craftsmen will be on-site with an array of items to purchase at the festival. Browse through handmade soaps, tasty jellies and much more, or pick a traditional orange pumpkin to take home. Craftsmen will also demonstrate their skills for crowds, including chainsaw wood carving. Buy a ticket to ride the horse-drawn wagon ride, pet barnyard animals at the petting barn, try the "punkin' chunkin'" cannon and grab a bite to eat at the concession stand. Visitors can snap fall-themed photos or shop in the gift shop. Navigate the 15-acre corn maze, play a round of mini golf or try your luck at pumpkin bowling. Kids also love the duck races and stationary calf roping. For some Halloween fun, walk through the haunted house and try not to scream as ghouls make surprise appearances. Don't miss an activity-filled sleepover at "Overnight at the Museum" held at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum this October. The Just Treats No Tricks tradition continues Monday, October 31 as the City of Collinsville presents Hocus Pocus in the Plaza! We'll start at the City Plaza at 6:00 PM (be sure and get there early as this is always a very big event) the costume parade will take place with trick-or-treaters parading down Main Street for everyone to see their costumes. Trick-or-treaters will then trick or treat their way back to the City Plaza. Downtown Merchants will be handing out candy. There will be FREE hot dogs grilled in the Plaza by the Motorcycle Ministry. There will also be food trucks on hand. The annual costume contests will take place back at the Plaza beginning at 7:00 PM.
