Route 66 Pecan and Fun Festival

October 21, 2017 | 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The 9th Annual Route 66 Pecan and Fun Festival offers something for all ages. Take a detour off historic Route 66 in Claremore, just 5 miles North of I-44 on Route 66, and head to the Nut House for a car show, great food, pie-eating contest, arts & crafts, games for the kids, camel rides and much more! The day begins with a 60ft Flag Raising Ceremony, 100ft in the air. Stick around for the pie-eating contest and contestants are encouraged to pre-register for the contest, as there will be a limit of participants in each of the three age categories. Prizes will be awarded in each division. Venture inside the Nut House and make your way to Pecan Hall for a craft fair featuring artisans and crafters from around the state. Stroll through booths filled with unique wares and goods available for purchase. In the Nut House’s retail store, homemade sweet treats, jams, jellies, fudge and nuts will be available. A wide selection of Route 66 souvenir items, such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, Christmas ornaments, magnets and more will also be on-hand. Bring the kids to the Route 66 Pecan and Fun Festival and enjoy the festival's children's area. Youngsters will be able to pick out their own pumpkins for Halloween, decorate them and take them home. Pull up a chair at this event and enjoy as local entertainers perform pop hits and oldies for a live audience.
