The brilliant display of Christmas lights at Rhema Bible Church first began in 1982 with around 60,000 lights and has grown to more than two million lights adorning the campus grounds from Thanksgiving Eve through New Year’s Day. The display typically draws more than 200,000 visitors from across Oklahoma and surrounding states. Admission is free. Additionally, horse-drawn carriage rides are available on a “first-come, first serve” basis, with no reservations necessary.

elebrate the holidays and experience animated displays with more than one million shimmering lights at Honor Heights Park in Muskogee. Light displays begin atop Agency Hill (north of the VA Hospital) and throughout the 130-acre park and gardens. This 35-40 minute drive-thru attraction features displays of deer, squirrels, and birds scattered amongst a variety of trees wrapped in Christmas lights. Animated displays are synchronized to recorded music, available on your radio as you drive through the park, and the Papillion Gift Shop offers hot cocoa, popcorn, and treats.

The Oklahoma Native Plant Society Indoor Outing is part of the Introduction to the Study of Native Plants course for the Native Plant Certification Program. The event happens throughout the day and class members may attend at their leisure. To receive credit, sign in with Connie Murray on the day of and stay as little or long as you can. The cost of the event is covered by your registration fee. Introduction to the Study of Native Plants is the first course in the Tulsa Garden Center’s Native Plant Certification Program.
