The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a family-friendly stage adaptation of Mark Twain’s beloved American classic, presented by the Classical Catholic Drama Club of Eastern Oklahoma. This production features a cast of talented homeschool students and brings to life the humor, mischief, and heart of Twain’s timeless story — from whitewashed fences to river adventures and the friendships that define childhood. Performances run January 30–February 8, 2026, with eight performances across two weekends, including Friday evenings, Saturday matinees and evenings, and Sunday matinees. Killing the Negative: A Conversation in Art & Verse

Films at the Museum: Dreamland Tulsa presents A Journey Through Art, Music, and Cinema

Dreamland Tulsa Foundation invites you to a journey through art, music, and cinema celebrating the work of Gordon Parks and the theme “ALL ROADS LEAD TO DREAMLAND”. At 6:00 pm in Homeward to the Prairie I Come This one-night-only event begins with an art market including No Parking Studios, Black Moon, and McLain High School art students. Enjoy a unique DJ Art Walk with DJ Nonanme (Black Moon). Using silent disco headphones as you walk through Homeward to the Prairie I Come: Gordon Parks Photographs from the Beach Museum of Art, allowing for a deeply personal and immersive connection with the groundbreaking work of the legendary photographer and filmmaker. At 7:00 pm in PJW auditorium, Dreamland founder, Steph Simon, will deliver an introduction and a short performance before a pre-film discussion, providing context for the film. The discussion will focus on themes to watch for in the film, the influence of Gordon Parks as a filmmaker, and the cultural impact of the Blaxploitation genre. Following the discussion, is the feature presentation, the 1971 classic film, SHAFT. R 1971, Action/Crime, 1h 40m.
