See the magic of Christmas come alive with a trip to the Polar Express Pajama Party in Muskogee. This exciting event welcomes guests to the Roxy Theater, where they will receive their golden ticket. For a unique and distinctly European holiday shopping experience head to the Christkindlmarkt put on by the German American Society of Tulsa or GAST. Held the first weekend in December at the GAST center, Christkindlmarkt aims to bring a true German old world holiday shopping experience to the Sooner state. In addition to handmade gifts from dozens of local artists, pick some authentic German collectibles and holiday memorabilia. Children will enjoy the puppet shows and visiting Bethlehem Village, where with any luck they can catch a glimpse of St. Nikolaus. No German event is complete without great food and the Christkindlmarkt doesn’t disappoint. Historic authenticity meets holiday festivity during A Territorial Christmas Celebration, an annual tradition for over 35 years. From a costumed Christmas parade to Victorian home tours, this celebration immerses visitors in the city's lively Territorial period. Watch as decorated floats covered in lights make their way through downtown in the Guthrie Christmas Parade. After the parade ends, the new Territorial Governor will be announced at the post office. During Guthrie's Victorian Walk Evenings, visitors will step back into the Victorian era with carolers in early-1900s dress and decorated store windows complete with re-enactors depicting Victorian-era Guthrie. Pick up some tasty treats from peanut vendors lining the downtown streets. Other activities scheduled for A Territorial Christmas Celebration include the Distinctive Homes Tour, featuring homes decorated in the style of the early 20th century. This event is a perfect family-friendly getaway this holiday season. Make your way to Guthrie to join this spectacular Christmas-themed party complete with live music and local residents dressed in Victorian-era attire. The Tulsa Botanic Garden of Lights is a favorite event during the holiday season. This year’s Christmas lights display is bigger and better than ever. With over a million lights on display, the garden is transformed into a winter wonderland that will delight visitors of all ages. In addition to the dazzling lights, the garden features festive decorations, Christmas music, and plenty of hot chocolate and other refreshments. Thursday nights are filled with caroling and pop-up crafts. St. Nick himself makes an appearance on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Philbrook Museum of Art hosts the Philbrook Festival each winter, an annual holiday tradition in Tulsa. This all-day experience at the museum features a regular schedule of holiday-themed offerings and activities for the whole family. From the front gate to the back gardens, tens of thousands of lights illuminate the property during the Philbrook Festival. During Festival Days, enjoy a variety of activities, special exhibitions, a community-sourced Lego Villa and plenty of festive decor. Bring the whole family to Bartlesville for the Christmas in the Ville celebration. Guests can bundle up and ice skate at the Historic Train Depot and take advantage of photo backdrops like the 12-foot lighted ornament, a 28-foot Christmas tree and a sleigh. On select dates, Santa will even be available for visits while sitting in the big red sleigh. Throughout the winter season, visitors can stop in to watch a nostalgic evening movie in the park, play lawn games or take a carriage ride throughout downtown Bartlesville. Claremore Lake Lights will return for the second year! Starting on November 22, residents and visitors can drive through the Claremore Lake Park and experience the Christmas lights and displays from the comfort of their warm vehicle. Lights will begin each night at dusk and remain on until 10:00p.m. through January 6, 2024. The Claremore Lake lights will begin at the Blue Starr Road entrance and displays will be featured throughout the park. Multiple photo opportunities will be available and visitors are encouraged to use the hashtag #ClaremoreLakeLights on social media to capture and share memories! Join thousands of annual visitors at the Rhema Christmas Lights and witness over three million shimmering lights synchronized to Christmas music across 110 acres. This much-loved lights display in Broken Arrow began in 1982 and has been attracting visitors ever since. Experience the wonder of illuminated festive figures like a gingerbread family with lollipops and gumdrops, Noah's ark with animals, 3D angels and reindeer, a Christmas tree forest, a 50-figure nativity scene and more. Visitors to the Rhema Christmas Lights can drive through the lights in their own vehicle, get out of the car and walk around the park, or view the spectacular displays from a horse-drawn carriage. Don't miss the Rhema Park bridge, complete with over 90,000 lights draped across the bridge alone. Synchronized to both classic and modern Christmas music, these lights have delighted visitors of all ages. While there, enjoy concessions that include cups of hot chocolate, piping hot coffee or sweet apple cider while venturing into the displays. Come to this Living Nativity event at Shepherd's Cross, a working farm and Christian mission, to walk through a living, interactive nativity depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. Come, take a peaceful stroll back in time and enjoy live character portrayals, including over one hundred costumed participants. Live animals in the nativity scene include sheep, mules, donkeys, chickens, guineas and horses. The animals are housed in a real, working barn, as this event is an indoor nativity. This year the Living Nativity will feature two drama performances: Elisabeth, the story of Christ’s birth from Elizabeth’s (John the Baptist’s mother) perspective and The Inn Keeper’s Wife, the story of Christ’s birth from the Innkeeper’s Wife’s perspective. These will be offered every hour. Shepherd’s Shop will also be open during the event and will feature farm-fresh pecans, Amish pecan candies, baked goods and hot beverages, as well as festive Christmas and sheep-related gifts. The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse has reunited with the writers and much of the cast of last year’s “Christmas in My Hometown” to present a seasonal variety show entitled “BACP Hometown Holiday Happenings.” Performances are December 8 and 9, 2023 at 7:30 PM and matinees on December 9 and 10, 2023 at 2 PM at the Playhouse located at 1800 S. Main Street in Broken Arrow. Patterned after a television Christmas special from yesteryear, a la Andy Williams, Bing Crosby and Dean Martin, “Hometown Holiday Happenings” pays tribute to December’s seasonal holidays of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa through music and sketches – both comedic and heart touching. The show will feature new songs from Scott Brister, who wrote the music for “Christmas in My Hometown.” It also will feature sketches from Steve Cowen, “Christmas in My Hometown” playwright, and Kelley Friedberg, a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, whose plays have been produced at not only the BACP, but also Heller Theatre Company, Blackjack Rewrite Company, and Echo Theatre Company. AND, there will be an audience sing-along with ukulele accompaniment. Featured entertainment includes some solo artists, vocal choirs, a bell choir, the Main Street Players and the ukulele group from the BA Senior Center. Thousands of bikers descend upon Tulsa Expo Square every winter just in time for the holidays. During the annual Tulsa Toy Run, bikers donate thousands of toys to help kids celebrate the holiday season. Bikers will take off at Tulsa Expo Square and ride over to Guthrie Green to make their festive donations and gather with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts.
The City of Broken Arrow is hosting a free meet and greets with Santa Claus! Come get your photo taken in the iconic Broken Arrow sleighs with Santa and tell him all about what you want for Christmas. Enjoy the ambiance of the Rose District dressed in the holiday spirit! Theatre Arts Troupe will also be performing during this time. Lines for Santa will be cut off promptly at the end of the event time and those in line will get to meet Santa. We will not take any more guests in line after the cutoff time. For example, if the event ends at 2 pm all guests already in line will get to continue to the meet and greet.

Come to this Living Nativity event at Shepherd's Cross, a working farm and Christian mission, to walk through a living, interactive nativity depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. Come, take a peaceful stroll back in time and enjoy live character portrayals, including over one hundred costumed participants. Live animals in the nativity scene include sheep, mules, donkeys, chickens, guineas and horses. The animals are housed in a real, working barn, as this event is an indoor nativity. This year the Living Nativity will feature two drama performances: Elisabeth, the story of Christ’s birth from Elizabeth’s (John the Baptist’s mother) perspective and The Inn Keeper’s Wife, the story of Christ’s birth from the Innkeeper’s Wife’s perspective. These will be offered every hour. Shepherd’s Shop will also be open during the event and will feature farm-fresh pecans, Amish pecan candies, baked goods and hot beverages, as well as festive Christmas and sheep-related gifts. A wide variety of unique Christmas items and handmade items will be available this Christmas season.

A graduate from Baylor University, David Phelps is credited among today’s most spectacular voices. Witness traditional Native American dancing at the New Year's Eve Powwow at the Muskogee Civic Center. The powwow kicks off at 1pm with gourd dancing until 5pm, followed by a supper break.
