elebrate the holidays and experience animated displays with more than one million shimmering lights at Honor Heights Park in Muskogee. Light displays begin atop Agency Hill (north of the VA Hospital) and throughout the 130-acre park and gardens. This 35-40 minute drive-thru attraction features displays of deer, squirrels, and birds scattered amongst a variety of trees wrapped in Christmas lights. Animated displays are synchronized to recorded music, available on your radio as you drive through the park, and the Papillion Gift Shop offers hot cocoa, popcorn, and treats.

The brilliant display of Christmas lights at Rhema Bible Church first began in 1982 with around 60,000 lights and has grown to more than two million lights adorning the campus grounds from Thanksgiving Eve through New Year’s Day. The display typically draws more than 200,000 visitors from across Oklahoma and surrounding states. Admission is free. Additionally, horse-drawn carriage rides are available on a “first-come, first serve” basis, with no reservations necessary.

The Brown Bag It free noontime concert series at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center happens the first Wednesday of the month. The series features some of Oklahoma’s finest professional musicians performing in the PAC's Westby Pavilion. Tulsa Festival Ringers, Inc., Tulsa's only auditioned community handbell ensemble, is more than a musical novelty; it is an ensemble of musicians who specialize in handbell ringing. The members are handbell directors and ringers from various churches throughout the Tulsa area who want to share their love of music and handbells. Their annual Christmas Brown Bag it show at the Tulsa PAC has become a seasonal favorite!
LIFE Senior Services offers a Percussion/Rhythm Class at its Senior Center at East Side on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. This is a fun class where participants learn a new skill in a friendly, engaging atmosphere. All aboard the Frisco Express during the 54th annual Catoosa Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. Since 1926, the Tulsa Christmas Parade has entertained thousands of children and adults as it winds through the streets of historic downtown Tulsa. Come hear the Trinity Presbyterian Church Cancel Choir in their presentation of Joseph Martin’s Rhapsody in Bluegrass: A Christmas Jubilee. This cantata is a mingling of refreshing, traditional choral sounds with the rustic beauty of bluegrass folk music. This 60-minute work is filled with songs of the season, as well as introspective readings between each movement. The choir will be accompanied by a bluegrass ensemble consisting of a fiddle, banjo, mandolin, acoustic guitar, string bass, and piano.

Rhema Bible Church’s children’s Christmas production this season will be “The Little Drummer Dude,” in which, audiences may meet the up-and-coming “Persia’s Traveling Band.” The band is on its biggest tour with their little roadie, and along the way, meet three star-following wise men in search of a new king. The event is free of charge and all ages are welcome.
Children will enjoy cookies and hot chocolate while listening to ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, as read by Santa Claus himself. After story time, there will be a Q&A with Santa, where children will have the chance to ask Santa any questions they may have.
