Join thousands of annual visitors at the Rhema Christmas Lights and witness over three million shimmering lights synchronized to Christmas music across 110 acres. This much-loved lights display in Broken Arrow began in 1982 and has been attracting visitors ever since. Experience the wonder of illuminated festive figures like a gingerbread family with lollipops and gumdrops, Noah's ark with animals, 3D angels and reindeer, a Christmas tree forest, a 50-figure nativity scene and more. Visitors to the Rhema Christmas Lights can drive through the lights in their own vehicle, get out of the car and walk around the park, or view the spectacular displays from a horse-drawn carriage. Don't miss the Rhema Park bridge, complete with over 90,000 lights draped across the bridge alone. Synchronized to both classic and modern Christmas music, these lights have delighted visitors of all ages. While there, enjoy concessions that include cups of hot chocolate, piping hot coffee or sweet apple cider while venturing into the displays. Popcorn, funnel cakes and other treats will also be available. Admission to Rhema Christmas Lights is free; however, donations are appreciated.

Experience animated displays and over 1.2 million shimmering lights at Muskogee's annual Garden of Lights. Drive through Honor Heights Park and view 130 acres of trees, bushes and water areas decorated for the holiday season. Rose and azalea bushes will be illuminated with color, imitating their natural state during the blooming of spring. This Christmas light display will also feature lighted displays of deer, squirrels and birds scattered amongst a wide variety of trees wrapped in lights.

Witness traditional Native American dancing at the New Year's Eve Powwow at the Muskogee Civic Center. The powwow kicks off at 1pm with gourd dancing until 5pm, followed by a supper break. Gourd dancing resumes at 6pm, and the grand entry begins at 7pm. Dance contests that will be featured at the New Year's Eve Powwow include fancy dance, straight dance, jingle dress and fancy shawl. Claremore Lake Lights will return for the second year! Starting on November 22, residents and visitors can drive through the Claremore Lake Park and experience the Christmas lights and displays from the comfort of their warm vehicle. Lights will begin each night at dusk and remain on until 10:00p.m. through January 6, 2024. The Claremore Lake lights will begin at the Blue Starr Road entrance and displays will be featured throughout the park. Multiple photo opportunities will be available and visitors are encouraged to use the hashtag #ClaremoreLakeLights on social media to capture and share memories! There is no cost to enjoy the Claremore Lake Light display.

Skate under the festive twinkle lights at Broken Arrow's only outdoor skating rink. The Bixby Historical Society Festival of the Trees opens Thursday November 23rd. The Lighting ceremony starts at 5:00pm with lights on at 6:00pm. There will be activities for all including hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows. Santa will be there to visit with children of all ages. We will be lighting up over 120 Christmas trees synchronized to over 15 songs. the trees will stay lite every night through the season and Santa will be there every Thursday through Sunday nights. Celebrate Earth Day, an annual event held in support of environmental protection, at Keystone State Park in Sand Springs. The park is celebrating this environmental holiday with a park clean-up event followed by an afternoon of eco-friendly activities. Join an environmental education session led by park staff, craft a seed bomb or check out the upcycled art contest during your visit. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring work gloves and garbage collection tools. Bags will be provided by the park. As part of the Earth Day Celebration, kids under age 18 can enter the Earth Day Art Contest. Contest requirements: - Submit your art to your local Oklahoma State Park by 5pm on Friday, April 19. A winner will be selected for each age category including categories for ages 5 and under, ages 6-10, ages 11-14 and ages 15-17. Art may not exceed dimensions 8.5in x 11in., and Art must be made from recycled materials.
