Daddy Daughter Dance

The Daddy Daughter Dance is an event dedicated for a father and daughter to have a magical night together. This event is casual to formal dressing and will have a live DJ. Snacks and drinks will be provided at no cost. Each daughter will receive a gift. Daughter must be between the ages of 2-17 years old. We have two dance times: 6-7:30pm or 8-9:30pm. Tickets are $5.00 Per Person and are now on sale at Broken Arrow's Nienhuis Park Community Center or Central Park Community Center. You can also purchase tickets over the phone and have them mailed. Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd’s Cross

September 25 – November 3, 2018 Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 am - 6:30 p.m. Monday by appointment Closed Sunday • The Pumpkin Festival is a harvest celebration held at Shepherd’s Cross, an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore OK on Scenic Route 66. • Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country. • Wholesome fun for the entire family includes a hay maze, festive outdoor & indoor games, farm animal petting barn, farm demonstrations and festive fall story time. The farm’s focus is educational, fall festive fun. • Truckloads of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for purchase; as well as straw bales & corn stalks available for your fall decorating. • Wagon rides in the hay meadow go out approximately every 30 minutes. • Farm Museum & Educational Farm Silo is open – free admission; this year the silo is open all the way to the fourth floor; new interactive games; visit our new horse in the museum. • See pumpkins growing on the vine in the Bible Garden • School Tours for all ages available; public and private schools welcome • Buses and large groups are welcome; groups larger than 20 please pre-schedule. • Antique Farm Equipment – demonstrations • The Bible Garden is available for guided or self-guided tours; audio or visual or both. • Shepherd’s Shop, a quaint country gift shop, is an event in itself - featuring a host of festive fall, handmade and farm related gifts and wares from many gifted artisans; a year round “craft fair.” Healthy choice foods and grass fed, grass finished meats and wool items are available. • Shepherd’s Cross is home to Heart of the Shepherd Inc., a public, non-profit Christian organization (501-C3) that teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming and gardening. Mummy & Me Dance

The Mummy & Me dance is a Halloween dance for just the kids and mom. SORRY, NO DADS ALLOWED. We encourage everyone to come in a costume but not required. There will be a costume contest, scary snacks, mischief music and ghoulish games. Come spend the night with just the kids mom. Harvest Carnival—A Halloween Alternative for Children We Have WAY Too Much Candy! Want Some? Broken Arrow, Oklahoma—Friday, October 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., Rhema Bible Church proudly presents Harvest Carnival—a Halloween alternative for children that provides a safe, action-packed, candy-filled party for the entire Tulsa/Broken Arrow community. The event will be held at the Ninowski Recreation Center, located next to the Rhema Park on Rhema’s campus. Rhema is located on Kenosha (71st Street) just east of Aspen (South 145th East Avenue) in Broken Arrow. Open to infants through fifth-graders and their parents, Harvest Carnival offers 80 game booths and a whopping 5,000 pounds of candy. The games and candy are not only fun—they’re free! There will also be a concession stand selling pizza, nachos, popcorn, pop, and more—so everyone can come hungry and eat at the party. Costumes are encouraged. Turkey Bingo
November 3, 2018 | 5 - 8 p.m.
The Collinsville Chamber of Commerce is planning a family bingo event for Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Veterans Memorial Building at 909 W Main Street. The bingo event, named Turkey Bingo since it takes place a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, will serve as a fundraiser for the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce. Between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, approximately 30 games of bingo will be played with prizes for winners of all ages. Three frozen turkeys, one each hour, and a grand prize flat screen HDTV will be given away as bingo prizes. Additional prizes include gift cards to local businesses, a Roku, and more! Concession items such as bottled water, soda, pizza, candy and other snack items will be available for purchase. Admission prices are $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids 12 and under. Admission prices will include three bingo cards per adult and one card per child. Additional bingo cards may be purchased for $2 per card. Cards are reusable, allowing you to play all night for more chances to win!

Dickens on the Boulevard

Dickens on the Boulevard is a Victorian-themed Christmas festival in historic downtown Claremore, Oklahoma. The festival, held annually on the weekend before Thanksgiving, is now in its 22nd year in Claremore. Beginning at 6 p.m. each evening, visitors to Dickens on the Boulevard will enjoy live stage entertainment, food, pictures with Santa and more. A Victorian street dance will be held both nights of the event and a territorial marshals reenactment will entertain crowds with plenty of Western-themed action. Living window displays will pepper the downtown area while an artisan village will feature living history demonstrations. Visitors will be able to learn about life in the Victorian era while re-enactors portraying blacksmiths, spinners, wood carvers, potters and more answer questions from the crowd and sell their wares. Browse through the festive shops and decorated boutiques of downtown Claremore or enjoy a Christmas-themed wagon ride through the town. A living nativity, a costume contest and a saloon featuring sarsaparilla and water will all be available. Come and enjoy such delicious fare from chuckwagons as well as hot dogs and kettle corn.

The Collinsville Chamber of Commerce is busy preparing for the 2018 Collinsville Christmas Parade taking place on Saturday, December 8 at 11:00 am. This year’s parade, which is themed “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” will make its way down Main Street between 15th Street and 9th Street. A parade entry form is required for all entries. You may request a parade entry form by calling 918-371-4703 or emailing . All entries must reflect the parade theme or display Christmas decorations. The top five parade entries will be entered into a drawing for a $100 cash prize. There are no participation fees this year thanks to the generosity of our parade sponsors. Pecan - Walnut Festival & Living Nativity Heart of the Shepherd @ Shepherd’s Cross December 13, 14 & 15 & 20, 21 & 22 2018 Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10:00 am – 8:00 p.m. • The Living Nativity is an indoor, heated walk through event complete with farm animals and costumed characters inside an Amish built barn at Shepherd’s Cross, an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore OK on Scenic Route 66. • Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country, contemplating that original Christmas when the Christ Child was born in a stable. • Christmas light display – white light – peaceful & reflective • Open the barn door and step back in time - spinning, weaving and wool working demonstrations throughout the day. • Complimentary apple cider & cookies. • Enjoy a Shepherd Christmas children’s audio-visual program. • This year the Living Nativity will feature Christmas Musicians or a Dramatic Story each hour : o Christmas Musicians include either a violinist, flutist, guitarist, gospel musicians, quartets, cellists The Living Nativity is rich with old time gospel music o The Inn Keeper’s Wife - the story of Christ’s birth from the perspective of the Innkeeper’s Wife’s – written & told by Frankie Campbell o Menagerie at the Manger - the story of Christmas from the animals at the manger – written & told by Linda Allen o Musicians needed. Go to the Living Nativity page to find information about volunteering • Picture in the manger – with family & friends – start a new tradition • Shepherd’s Shop will be open, featuring a host of Made in Oklahoma crafts & gifts from over 50 artisans – lovely unique Christmas gifts o Animal Welfare Approved, farm fresh grass fed, free range, natural lamb meat is available. o 100% natural wool yarns and fibers are available; processed at our own mini-wool mill. Shepherd’s Cross is an “eco-friendly” wool mill. o A Fair Trade Shop that sells hand made products from missions, and returns 100% of the proceeds to those missions, is a part of Shepherd’s Shop, representing several nations. o This is walnut & pecan harvest season on the farm. Farm fresh black walnuts & native pecans will be available at down home country prices; or enjoy pre-picked or buy whole and we will crack for. o Amish Made fudge & nutty treats available o Watch as your pecans are cracked • Enjoy watching the sheep resting in the pastures, as they did that first Christmas night. • The event is donation based admission. Suggested donation is $5.00 per person. • Journey with the Shepherds – Wagon Ride in the pasture with the sheep - as they journeyed to see the Christ on that first hallowed night. Available every hour ($6.50 per person; cancelled in inclement weather). 100% of proceeds benefit missions. • Buses or groups of 20 or more, please schedule in advance. • Shepherd’s Cross is home to a non-profit Christian organization called Heart of the Shepherd that hosts this event. Shepherd’s Cross provides the farm, animals and the barn for the event. • Make an Evergreen Wreath to take home – great family or group activity; $15 each; 100% of proceeds benefit missions • Make a Christmas Ornament to take home; $5.00 each; 100% of proceeds benefit missions • The Living Tree - Provide a gift to the less fortunate – this is Heart of the Shepherd’s “Angel Tree” • Free Children’s activity – bird feeder and/or woolly sheep • Shepherd’s Special Bundle Deals: o #1: Includes all donation based activities – suggested donation $5 per person o #2: Journey with the Shepherds - $6.50 per person – Includes all donation based activities plus a wagon ride o #3: Christmas Journey & Ornament - $ 9 per person – Includes all donation based activities, wagon ride & make an ornament o $4: Christmas Journey & Wreath - $ 20 per person – Includes all donation based activities, wagon ride & make a wreath • Christmas Coloring Contest • Farm Museum & Educational Silo & Bible Garden self-guided tours • The Living Nativity will proceed even in the case of inclement weather. Activities take place inside the heated Amish built gambrel roof tour barn, which houses some of the animals as well as the wool processing, farm museum, games, hands on learning stations, story time and the gift shop. • Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility, a Made in Oklahoma Company, is Animal Welfare approved, and is a distribution site for the Oklahoma Food Co-op. • If your family would like to volunteer in the Living Nativity please contact us. Shifts are for two hours, throughout the day. Participants experience a memorable, peace filled, quality family time. Costumes are provided; pictures made available after the event. Hometown Christmas Variety Show

Collinsville is bringing back their popular Hometown Christmas variety show for a third year this December. There will be three performances this year: Friday, December 14 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, December 15 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. All performances will take place at Herron’s Crown Opry Theater on Main Street. This Dickensian-themed variety show lasts about two hours, with over 80 performers to entertain you with holiday songs and dances. This show promises to bring you an evening you will always remember and is a great way to celebrate Christmas with the entire family! Tickets are now available for purchase. All proceeds from ticket sales go to benefit three of Collinsville’s nonprofits: Arubah Community Clinic, Dividing Bread, and Main Street Ministries. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors 55+, and $5 for children age 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased online anytime by visiting collinsvillehometownchristmas.ticketleap.com or in person Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce, located at 1126 W Main Street.
