Chili Bowl

January 11-16, 2016

The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals at Tulsa Expo Square's River Spirit Expo is an annual competition for Midget Sprint Car racing. Held each year for nearly 30 years, these races attract over 200 talented drivers from around the world. Four qualifying nights lead up to the championship competition on Saturday. See cars zoom around the quarter-mile clay oval track and perform stunts that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Come be part of the excitement in Tulsa.

Sooner Nationals

Head to Tulsa's Expo Square for a fun and exciting weekend of intense BMX competition. The Sooner Nationals feature events for men and women of all age groups and skill levels. The number one winners will be decided on Saturday with the runner-up events on Sunday. Be sure to come out for the pre-race on Friday and see the racers prepare for the big event. There will be plenty of concessions and no shortage of exhilarating races to watch, so come out and cheer on these talented riders. Event schedules and registration fees available on website.

Xtreme Fight Night 27

Dale "Apollo" Cook's "Xtreme Fight Night" returns to the all ages Event Center at River Spirit Friday, February 5th with the Heavyweight Kickboxing World Championship! Reigning title-holder Randy "Boom Boom" Blake battles "King of the Cage" Heavyweight Champion Tony "Kryptonite" Lopez. Blake is from Owasso, Oklahoma and brings his 35-4 record into the cage to face aggressive, power-punching Californian Tony Lopez. The MMA main event features world-ranked women's flyweight fighter Jaymee "Ambush" Jones; other fighters on the ten bout card include heavyweight knock-out artist Haze Wilson, and former OU football standout Ronnell "The Hammer" Lewis.

BOK Center presents Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters are headed to Tulsa's BOK Center for their 90th anniversary world tour. Get ready to see these amazing players perform some of the most amazing stunts and trick shots basketball has ever seen. The Globetrotters have been performing for decades and they're known for impressive and fun-to-watch basketball challenges. They'll present their exciting show at Tulsa's BOK Center, a 19,199 seat world class entertainment venue.

Tulsa Heritage Rodeo

See cowboys and cowgirls compete in rodeo events like bare back riding, ranch bronc riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, ladies barrel racing, team roping and bull riding. Rogers Country Spring Horse Show

February 20-21, 2016

The Rogers County Spring Horse Show brings horse enthusiasts, riders and a wide variety of breeds to the Claremore Expo Center in Claremore. Come see the cowboys and cowgirls compete in several events like barrel racing and take in the pageantry for yourself during this two day show that is fun for everyone.

Cooper Aerobics Center 7777 S. Lewis Ave. Tulsa OK 74171 About This Event The ORU Aerobics Center presents its 7th Annual Whole Person Indoor Triathlon. This Super Sprint Triathlon is perfect for first time Triathletes! The competition consists of a 400-meter swim (50 meter pool), 6.2 mile bike (stationary) & 1.5 mile run. Individual competitions will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 and Team competitions on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Spectators welcome! Race Information Individual competitions will start on Saturday at 8:00 am. Heats will begin every 20 minutes from 8:00 am - 5:40 pm. Individual participants will swim, bike, then run. Prizes will be awarded to the Top Overall Male and Female, Best Swim, Best Bike and Best Run. Prizes will also be awarded to winning Males and Females in each age group: 14 & under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+. Maximum # of individual competitors is 180. Team competitions will start on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm. Heats will begin every 30 minutes from 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Each team will consist of 3 participants (one swimmer, one biker and one runner.) Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams only. Maximum # of teams is 48. Registration Information Competition fee is $35/individuals, $45/teams. ORU students receive a discounted registration - must register at Aerobics Center to receive discount. Registrations include t-shirt, gift bag and finisher's medal. Registration deadline to receive t-shirt is February 12th. Registration will close February 17th. Cash and Check payments accepted at ORU Aerobics Center. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo

March 4-6, 2016

Called the "Super Bowl of Bass Fishing", the Bassmaster Classic returns to the Grand Lake/Tulsa area again for three days of non-stop action. Skilled anglers from across the country will gather in the early morning mist at Grand Lake O' The Cherokees in Grove each day with the hopes of taking home their share of the prize money. In conjunction with the Bassmaster Classic, an outdoor expo is held at Tulsa's Cox Business Center where visitors can look through over 150,000 square feet of the latest and greatest in outdoor recreation. On-site vendors include Bass Pro Shops, Dick's Sporting Goods, Triton, Toyota, Yamaha, Academy Sports and Outdoors, and much more. At the Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo, visitors are invited to browse boats and fishing gear, as well as meet-and-greet with anglers and attend informative seminars.

Grand Lake Boat & Sport Show

The Grand Lake Boat & Sport Show is an annual expo held in Grove. Visitors to this event will find a wide array of boat dealers, RV dealers and miscellaneous sport vendors. Come to the Grand Lake Boat & Sport Show to browse through a large selection of watercraft, boats, RVs, fishing tackle, clothing and other sporting products. All boats and RVs featured at this show are completely new. Visit the Grand Lake Boat & Sport Show to see the newest lake and sporting products before anyone else. This event will also feature hourly giveaways as well as arts and crafts from a variety of vendors. Concessions will be available on site.

ShamRock the 'Ville

With "couch to 5K" running programs becoming a popular fitness trend, the folks behind ShamRock the 'Ville had the idea of making a fun, energizing community event out of it. While technically a competition, runners are encouraged to have as much fun as they can and go at their own pace. St. Patrick's Day costumes are welcome and runners will receive shouts of encouragement for each block they complete. For experienced runners who want to get a work out or those who are working toward fitness goals there is a USATF certified 5K (3.1 miles) race that begins in downtown Bartlesville at 6th and Jennings. For beginners or those who just want to take it easier, there is also a one mile fun run beginning right after the 5K starts. Costumes are more than welcome during the fun run, as are walkers and anyone else who wants to participate. Taking the couch to 5K concept literally, there will also be an actual couch race with teams vying for the winning prize. Beginning right after the 5K is over, the couch race consists of teams putting wheels on couches, the lightest competitors riding the couch, and the strongest pushing them to victory. This hilarious event is always a crowd favorite.

Big Meat Run

March 18-20, 2016

Join thrill-seekers and off-roading enthusiasts for this popular Grand Lake event. The Big Meat Run is a three-day ATV and off-roading bonanza that allows drivers to test their vehicles against the wet and rocky terrain around Pensacola Dam. Watch the exciting rock bouncing events when drivers try to overcome the rocky barriers with falling back to where they started. Come to the Big Meat Run for this and many other events and activities.

Green Country's Midsouth Tackle & Hunting Show

March 24-27, 2016

Green Country's Midsouth Tackle & Hunting Show will feature hundreds of vendors presenting the latest merchandise and technologies in outdoor sports with special hunting and fishing demonstrations by pro fishermen and hunters. This expo will feature fishing seminars, dog training, catfish noodling, a rattlesnake show, a fishing pond for children and great food. Come to this Tulsa event and spend the day browsing through booths filled with retail hunting and fishing supplies, camping gear, lures and boating accessories. Peruse new boats, RVs or ATVs on display and talk to local lake associations, outfitters and fishing clubs to find new fishing hot spots. In 2015, celebrities Jep and Jessica Robertson from the hit TV show Duck Dynasty will make a special appearance at the Green Country's Midsouth Tackle & Hunting Show. Run the Ville

Take a run through beautiful Bartlesville at the Run the Ville 10K event. Starting downtown near the corner of SW Frank Phillips Blvd and S Johnstone Ave, the race path will take you through a little more than six miles of scenic Bartlesville. Runners have two options, making this the ideal race for all types of competitors. Either run the entire race on your own or split it in half and tackle it with a friend in the 10K relay. Participants receive a shirt and medal for finishing the race.

1st Annual Brotherhood of Saint Andrew Charity Golf Tournament

The first annual Brotherhood of Saint Andrew charity golf tournament is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 2 at Cherokee Hills Golf Club in Catoosa. The Brotherhood of Saint Andrew from St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tulsa has organized the event to benefit three local charities: New Hope, Iron Gate and Boy Scout Troop 153. The tournament features a shotgun format and includes breakfast, prizes and an awards lunch. 10th Annual Golf Tournament

Operation Aware, Tulsa’s only ALL INCLUSIVE PREVENTION EDUCATION non-profit agency, announces its 10th annual golf tournament at Cedar Ridge Country Club, on August 8, 2016, at 8 a.m. Tournament Co-Chairs Charlie Strauser and Laurie Graves have helped with this tournament for nine of the ten years. Last year Charlie received the Spirit of Philanthropy Award for his efforts with this tournament as a Volunteer Fundraiser from the Association of Fundraising Professionals. One day in the sun with friends, colleagues or clients supports Operation Aware’s efforts to reach thousands of local students. This past school year, Operation Aware taught prevention lessons to over 11,000 youth and celebrated our 35th year in service with more than 670,000 youth taught to date.

Strong Kids Triathlon

The Owasso YMCA is partnering with the Bailey Medical Center PLAY program to hold the Bailey Medical Center Strong Kids Triathlon. All proceeds go to the YMCA We Believe Campaign which offers financial support to kids. The Bailey Medical Center PLAY Program is designed to offer parents and youth opportunities to participate in activities and learn about creating healthier families in our community. Several other organizations have reached out to become partners with us in this vision.
