Two Sisters, One Legacy

Two sisters who share the love of food and family shape this delicious new shop in Tulsa. Natasha spent over 22 years as an Army combat medic; when she and her sister, Angela Person, picked a date to open their new dessert shop, only one made sense: Veterans Day. On Nov. 11, 2025, the two opened The Peach Cobbler Factory in Tulsa at 81st St. and Hwy. 169, turning the holiday into the start of a family legacy they hope will carry through their children and grandchildren.

“We chose to bring The Peach Cobbler Factory to Tulsa because we wanted to do something very different,” Angela said. The Peach Cobbler Factory is a loved dessert franchise built around warm, made to order cobblers and Southern banana pudding, a change of pace for the Tulsa dessert scene. The sisters wanted Northeastern Oklahoma to be among the first in the region to taste it.

The Path to Peach Cobbler

Angela’s path started young. In high school, she took a job as a crew member at a local McDonald’s and stayed 30 years, climbing steadily through hard work until she was named Director of Operations. That drive carried her into this new venture.

The idea to own a franchise took the sisters to Florida for Discovery Day at The Peach Cobbler Factory headquarters. “It was hurricane season when we were invited to Discovery Day,” Angela recalled. “After the interview process, we were approved and made the decision to move forward.” The leap was intimidating at first, she admitted, but the sisters pushed through it together.

Natasha and Angela have always done nearly everything together, and their roles reflect a partnership built on trust. At home, Natasha runs the show. At The Peach Cobbler Factory, Angela is in charge. Together, they call themselves best friends first and business partners second.

What should dessert lovers order first?

The top seller is the peach cobbler itself, a warm, buttery, golden crusted classic bursting with tender, sweet peaches in every spoonful. Close behind is the OG Original Banana Pudding, a rich, creamy, old fashioned Southern recipe layered with vanilla wafers that tastes like grandma’s kitchen. Third most popular is the four item flight, letting guests pick any four cobblers or puddings at four ounces each, perfect for sharing or simply not choosing just one favorite.

The menu goes well beyond those favorites. Fresh baked cinnamon rolls are a favorite for hostess gifts, client thank yous, and group events. Guests can also dig into rich cheesecake cups topped with cobbler or pudding, warm churro stix dusted in cinnamon sugar, and thick, indulgent brownies. “Our shakes are phenomenal,” Natasha said. “They are made with banana pudding and cobblers.” The newest addition is the Refresher, a cool, fruity drink that lives up to its name.

The Peach Cobbler Factory is located at 10125 E. 81st St., Suite A, near Highway 169 and 81st Street in Tulsa. The shop is open seven days a week, closed on Christmas Day. Meet the Sisters Behind the Storefront

Natasha Johnson

Originally from Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Natasha is a retired Army combat medic with more than 22 years of service. She now teaches Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy Technology, and CPR at Tulsa Tech, where she was named 2025 Adjunct Instructor of the Year. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and works as a medication aide at assisted living centers when time allows, driven by a deep passion for caring for the elderly. She loves Jesus, cruising and reading, and has been married to her husband, Reginald, for 28 years. Together they have two children and one grandchild.

Angela Person

Angela was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, while her father was stationed there in the military. She began her career in high school as a crew member at Tulsa and Broken Arrow area McDonald’s locations and worked her way up to Director of Operations over 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Administration. Angela and her husband, Orlando, have been together for 20 years and have five children together.
