Taste of Fall and a 4th Anniversary to Remember

Owner Stacy Wood personally chooses every piece in the store, and since moving to a larger, brighter home in Claremore’s Ne-Mar Shopping Center, that treasure trove has grown. “Every day is like Christmas, with dozens of packages of new items arriving daily,” said Stacy Wood, owner.

Taste of Fall, Saturday, October 24

Come hungry! From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Freckled Finch is planning a luscious spread featuring samples of the gourmet foods showcased in the store: soups, breads, dips, and beverages, just in time for fall entertaining. Taste how easy it is to turn a Wind & Willow dip mix or a Soberdough bread, made with little more than a can of beer or soda, into a fabulous party, game day, cozy date night, or family movie night.

Every purchase comes with a special goodie bag filled with product samples and a gift from the Finch. And one lucky winner will take home the day’s grand prize, an enormous gift basket valued at over $200, brimming with Wind & Willow mixes, Soberdough, Frontier Soups, Pecan Pie in a Jar, coffee, and many more delights. While you nibble, discover the new brands that make entertaining a breeze. Nora Fleming serveware pairs handcrafted platters and bowls with tiny interchangeable “minis” that pop in to change with every season, a pumpkin for fall and a snowman for December. Add bamboo entertaining ware, cozy throws and pillows, Thymes Frasier Fir, Capri Blue, and Rowe Casa natural products, and your holiday scene is set.

“We love surprising our guests and always strive to maintain the most favored items from the best brands all in one place,” Stacy says.

Since the move, dozens of beloved baby and kids brands have grown like Itzy Ritzy, Webkinz, RMS squishies, and the latest Jellycat holiday drops. Men will find leather wallets, Mixture Man grooming gifts, and clever stocking stuffers, while Catstudio Oklahoma prints and Inis fragrance charm everyone else. Custom gift baskets are made to order, with finds for any budget, “from $5.00 to $1,500,” Stacy says.

4th Anniversary Celebration, Saturday, December 5

The celebrating continues on December 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., as the Finch throws a 4th Anniversary party for the area that made it home. Expect another fun-filled day of delightful snacks, drinks, samples, and giveaways, plus a grand prize gift basket valued at over $200 for one lucky winner. Holiday Scout bags and specialty gift bags will be ready to fill, too. It’s the perfect day to shop for everyone on your list.

For Stacy, the joy runs both ways. “My daughter Ally, puppy Buddy, and I appreciate the special joy we receive when customers say ‘That’s perfect!’ or ‘I didn’t know I could buy that brand locally,’” she expressed. “Our purpose is to share an experience with our shoppers.” Come share it with them.
