Trail of Joy Tour

September 1-3, 2022 | 5 - 9 p.m.

In an effort to bring unity to the body of Christ and revival to our nation, a national event called " Trail of Joy Tour is coming to Broken Arrow to do a 7 day Tent Revival." The tour is traveling from Salem, Oregon to Miami, Florida and will host a series of tent revivals with a vision to turn the "Trail of Tears" into a "Trail of Joy" and birth sustainable revival in America. We will do this by loving our Native American Nations and our neighboring churches as Christ loved us. The tour will also feature three grassroots workshops in three separate churches. Keynote participants include Jimmy Muskrat a Cherokee Native who at 14 years old rode the trail of tears on his bicycle. Jimmy Muskrat also know as "Five O" now owns the original circuit rider to the west ( Jason Lee’s ) bible which is 200 years old. Jason Lee is responsible for bringing the word of God to the Native Americans as well as the statehood of Oregon. A critical call is being given to the local churches in Broken Arrow, Ok., to come together and 'break their arrows " to unify against the darkness coming against our children and nation. A second part of the Tour will take place on September 21st-September 27th at the Cherokee National Peace Pavilion in Tahlequah, Ok.

Funny Women of a Certain Age presented by the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Chapman Music Hall

September 16, 2022 | 8 p.m.

**MATURE CONTENT** CAROLINE RHEA joins creator CAROLE MONTGOMERY along with MISSY HALL and THEA VIDALE for an evening of side-splitting comedy live onstage in Tulsa! A show straight from the unfettered minds and uninhibited mouths of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women who have seen it all! They’ve raised children both on and off the road, having club bouncers watch their babies while onstage. These women have stayed in comedy condos where you don’t want to use a blacklight on anything. They’ve been told women aren’t funny. Raw, smart, and unfiltered, this show will have you laughing out loud as these women tell it all! Created by Carole Montgomery, the hit SHOWTIME special premiered in 2019 as the network’s highest rated standup special. It made history as the first comedy special to feature six female comedians over the age of 50. Since then, SHOWTIME has produced two more hit specials with the most recent premiering in November 2021. “It’s a hit!” - The TODAY Show “These comedians don’t hold back!” - The New York Times

Murder’s in the Heir by Billy St. John

September 30, 2022

The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse Proudly Presents Murder’s in the Heir By Billy St. John Tickets on sale Now! Call our Box Office 918-258-0077 to purchase tickets or Buy Online www.bacptheatre.com Adults $22, Child/Student/Senior/Military $20 *Groups of 10+ Save $2 per Ticket!* The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is proud to present Murder’s in the Heir for two big weekends! September 30, October 1, 7 & 8, 2022 at 7:30 PM, and Sunday Matinees on October 2 & 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Playhouse located at 1800 S. Main Street in Broken Arrow. Turn the game Clue into a play and you have the masterfully entertaining Murder’s in the Heir!’ Almost every character in this hilarious mystery has the weapon, opportunity, and motive to commit the unseen murder. And it’s up to our audience to decide who actually did it! Each of the heirs to the tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather has the means and the motive to do away with him. Starkweather gathers his family and employees to announce the contents of his will. His lawyer, Lois van Zandt, reveals that he has bequeathed vast fortunes to his befuddled niece Fiona, her playboy son Jordan, his great-niece Paula (a Southern belle) and his grandson Simon III, as well as to his many servants. Then Lois delivers the bombshell! Within hours this will become invalid. Of course, the rejected heirs are not pleased, so it’s not surprising when they roam the old mansion carrying such items as an ax, a gun, and poison. Predictably, the lights go out, and Simon is discovered murdered. The play’s unique ending, utilizing secret ballots gathered at intermission from the audience, determines the killer in this Billy St. John maze of murder. The BACP is pleased to welcome back award-winning director Martha Cherbini as the director for this show. Martha has directed several shows at the BACP over the years – perhaps most notably “Gin Game,” which she and her cast took to state, national, and international theatre contests. She has assembled an extraordinary cast of characters! The cast includes Tom Berenson, Tricia Pruitt, Tanner Daniels, Charmin Whaley, Justin Lacy, Ron Hackney, Nancy Blass, Stephanie Foshay, Ryan Mash, Rhonda Jullien, Linda Amling, Natasha Taylor, Ron Friedberg, and Samara Cain. More information for this production can be obtained by calling the BACP at 918-258-0077. The BACP is located in The Main Place at 1800 S. Main in downtown Broken Arrow. “Murder’s in the Heir!” is presented by arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service. www.pioneerdrama.com . This production is made possible in part by grants from the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. The BACP would like to thank Standley Systems for being a sponsor for our 2022-2023 season.
