Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd's Cross

Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd’s Cross September 20 – November 5, 2022 Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 am - 6:30 pm Open Monday, October 31st Shepherd’s Cross has been hosting a fall event for three decades and once again returns with fun for the whole family. Shepherd’s Cross Pumpkin Festival is a harvest celebration held at an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore Oklahoma on Scenic Route 66. Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country. Enjoy wholesome fun for the entire family including over 50 activities, a hay maze, festive outdoor & indoor games, farm animal petting barn, farm demonstrations and fall story time. The farm’s focus is educational, mingled with fall festive fun. We will supply truckloads of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for purchase, as well as straw bales & cornstalks for your fall decorating. There is a wide range of pumpkin prices, starting at $1.50 each. Come see our walk-through Pumpkin Patch, Game Area, and Hay Maze. Pumpkins are sanitized daily, and games are sanitized throughout the day. Suggested donation is $5 per person (suggested – not required). Pumpkin Patch Packages are available for $9, $12 & $15. They include a Pumpkin, Wagon Ride and take home fall craft. Size of pumpkin varies with package price and are available while supplies last. Wagon Rides in the hay meadow are $6.50 per person; children two and under are free. They “load up and head out” approximately every 30 minutes. Wagon ride is sanitized throughout the day. Farm Museum & Educational Farm Silo is open – free admission. The Bible Garden is available for self-guided tours where you can see pumpkins growing on the vines, and take a picture with the flowers. Shepherd’s Shop, a quaint country gift shop, features a host of festive fall, handmade wool and farm related gifts and wares from many gifted artisans. The shop is open year-round and carries snacks & beverages. Also offered are healthy food choices as well as grass fed, grass finished meats. There are modern indoor restrooms. This event is made possible by Heart of the Shepherd Inc., a public, non-profit Christian organization (501-C3) that teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Because of their generosity, the admission is free and operates by donations. Tulsa Run

November 1-29, 2022

Athletes and health enthusiasts have been gathering in downtown Tulsa the last weekend in October since 1978 for a fun and competitive run. One of the most historic runs in the state, the Tulsa Run has a reputation for being an exciting gathering that presents running in a festival atmosphere. Events include 5K and 15K wheelchair races, a 5K and 15K run, a 2K fun run and a 15K race for speed walkers. A finish line festival delivers plenty of fun before and after the race and post-race events include live music, food and drinks. Hours Starts at 7:30am.

Big Spirit, Little Trees

Celebrate National Bison Day during the two-day Old West Buffalo Days Festival. This Pawhuska event takes guests back to the 1800s with two exciting ticketed events. On Friday evening, the Buffalo Adventure Dinner Theater will transport guests to the 1800s in the fictional Old West town of Buffalo City. This one-of-a-kind dinner theater includes action-packed scenes telling the story of the American Buffalo through people who lived through this exciting era in history. Enjoy a catered meal on vintage china in a rustic, elegant event space, followed by a wagon ride that takes guests among the buffalo where they can hand feed them. End the evening around a campfire with Theodore Roosevelt as he shares his role in saving the buffalo, then raise your glass in a toast during the closing ceremony with an inspiring message from Teddy. Indulge in a magnificent five-course meal prepared by the king's chef de cuisine while enjoying entertainment by minstrels, belly dancers and a host of other performers. Guests will be transported back in time with authentic decorations, traditional clothing and a jolly, festive atmosphere. This year's menu includes a palate of cheese, grapes and bread, along with salad, broccoli and cheese soup, corn on the cob, herbed potato wedges, smoked pork loin and bread pudding.
