Sea Turtle Birthday Celebration!

Celebrate our loggerhead sea turtle's 25th birthday with special treats, gifts, and fun activities for everyone on Saturday, November 9, from 2-4 p.m.! LIFE Senior Services has arranged for Tulsa attorney Brian Crain to present a program on the documents older adults and their caregivers need to make sure the wishes of the older adult are understood and followed and to provide peace of mind while promoting health and wellness. The free program will address the Oklahoma advance directive, powers of attorney, wills, trusts, guardianships and more. The presentation will be held at Legacy Plaza, 5330 E. 31s Street in Tulsa. Professional Education: Ethics and Alzheimer's Communication Strategies

LIFE Senior Services is presenting a continuing education program for health care professionals like social workers and those working in long-term care, home health/hospice and hospitals. Ethics and Alzheimer's Communication Strategies will include speakers addressing reasons why an active sex life can prolong vitality and enhance enjoyment of life. The program will also cover some of the challenges posed by caring for - and communicating with - someone with Alzheimer's. Professionals attending the program can receive six hours of continuing education or contact hours or completion of mandatory ethics training. The cost for the program is $79.
