Oklahoma Renaissance Faire

June 1, 2025 | 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Step back in time to the 16th century with Queen Elizabeth I of England and over 400 entertainers and artisans as they create the boisterous Village of Castleton at the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. Held at the Castle of Muskogee, this beloved annual event features a royal court, jousters and jesters, magicians, musicians, and minstrels. Delight your taste buds with wonderful and unique foods or browse through more than 125 handcrafted booths for one-of-a-kind items. Bring the entire family and enjoy a day in Renaissance England. Journey to an age of sorcerers, knights in shining armor, kings, queens, and maidens fair. When planning your voyage to Castleton, it is important to note, costumes are encouraged. On any festival day, patrons may discover guests dressed as fairies, Renaissance villagers and nobles, Sci-fi characters and even pirates. There will be living history demonstrations and marvelous live performances, like a life-size game of chess played by characters, a jousting tournament, thrilling acrobatic feats, KnightWings Birds of Prey and more. A children's realm featuring games and hands-on demonstrations provides hours of fun. Kids may visit the Ultimate Maze and take part in the Royal Quest and the Children's Knighting Ceremony. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food and drink at one of the many merchants stationed throughout the festival grounds. Special evening events include the Masque'd Ball and The Pirate's Feaste.

Sunfest

Known to many as Oklahoma's biggest outdoor picnic, Bartlesville's SunFest returns for a long weekend of relaxed, family-friendly entertainment. SunFest features live musical entertainment, a diverse selection of arts and crafts, children's games, storytellers, food and much more. Enjoy the sounds of jazz, rhythm and blues, rock, bluegrass, and contemporary Christian music while over 20 individual artists and bands perform on three stages throughout Sooner Park. Another highlight of this summer celebration is the annual SunFest Car Show, held on Saturday.  Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, modified vehicles, low-riders, imports and more. See which vehicles win the top three awards in several categories. Browse through the booths in SunFest's annual juried arts and craft show. Vendors and local artists will feature paintings, sculptures, drawings, wearable art, stained glass, wood crafts and wooden toys. Don't forget to swing by YouthFest for a wide variety of free activities designed specifically for children of all ages. Past activities have included kite making, cookie decorating, face painting, puzzles, and a bean bag toss. SunFest also features delicious fair food from over two dozen food vendors. Take a break with a tasty treat in the large dining tent, or simply browse through food vendors offering everything from traditional, down-home favorites to ethnic specialties. Dig into funnel cakes, kettle corn, Indian tacos, fried green tomatoes, roasted pecans, homemade root beer and much more. With low lights & quiet music, you & your little & big humans alike can explore the Oklahoma Aquarium without the usual crowd-perfect for people that get peopled out easily! Each month has a self-guided scavenger hunt with a prize for everyone that completes it! This event is free with general admission or Oklahoma Aquarium membership.

Tulsa Chautauqua

June 3-7, 2025

Go behind the scenes of history during the Tulsa Chautauqua. Held on the grounds of the Tulsa Historical Society & Museum, this thought-provoking program offers multiple days of workshops, living history events and nightly entertainment. This year's Chautauqua theme is "Lift Every Voice: Sixty Years Since the Civil Rights Act." Five talented scholars will deliver entertaining, insightful and educational historical presentations and workshops. Each scholar has extensively researched the famous, infamous or obscure visionary they portray, to realistically recount the lifetime experiences of these remarkable figures in period costumes. This year, scholars will portray historic figures Earl Warren, Rosa Parks, Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson, Thurgood Marshall and Coretta Scott King. Workshop-goers frequently bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy during breaks. Each night, a different scholar will give a presentation in character followed by a Q&A session from the audience, first in character, then as a scholar. Local musicians will entertain the audience briefly before each evening's performance. A variety of snacks will be available for purchase. Make an evening of it and enjoy the ambiance of a summer night under the tent while immersing yourself in history. Hours: Daily workshops at 12pm & 5:30pm., Scholar presentations start at 7pm.

Beginning Mid-March 2025 Spring & Summer Field Trips or Road Trips to the Farm Sheep & Shepherd Tours begin when the lambs are born each spring here at Shepherd’s Cross, an authentic working sheep farm, just north of Claremore OK on Scenic Route 66. Come to the farm and watch as the sheep peacefully graze the pastures and rest by the still waters. The newborn lambs jump for joy and frolic in the pastures. Sheep & Shepherd Tours: Self-guided Tour – Donation-based (suggested $5 per person) Enjoy watching the sheep in the pastures as you stroll the grounds in the visitor areas. Sheep & Shepherding Guided Walking Tour - Donation-based (suggested $5 per person) Drop by or pre-schedule. Summer Internship Program at Shepherd’s Cross

Heart of the Shepherd’s Intern / Apprentice Program at Shepherd’s Cross Summer Semester May – Mid-Aug or Early Sept. The internship program at the farm equips students with basic farming skills and with Biblical references to farming and shepherding. Students are taught historical agriculture, mixed with a healthy appreciation for industrialized agriculture and exposed to agricultural parables found in The Bible. Shepherd’s Cross is a working sheep farm. There are many other animals and activities on the farm. Other areas of the farm include a Farm Museum, a Farm Store, Wool Mill, and Bible Garden. The internship is under the direction of Dr. Diane Dickinson, an agriculturalist with a Bachelor’s in Agriculture, a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, and over five decades of farm and livestock experience. She serves as an on-site veterinarian and operates a veterinary care unit on the farm. The summer semester is the busiest Bible Garden season to intern, as this is harvest season. Educate visitors on growing, harvesting, and using seasonal produce as part of our outreach program. This is weaning season for the lambs, and summer grass range season for the ewes. Experience is advantageous but not required. High school or college students as well as any age adult are welcome to apply. College credit may be received for students enrolled in college classes. Following successful completion of the Internship, the student may apply for the Apprentice/Residency Program. This program allows the student to remain at the farm for eight additional months to experience all the activities of a farm year. Internships are full or part time and live on-site or live off-site. Compensation for internships may include room, board, and a monthly monetary stipend. The stipend is not a salary, and it is performance based.

American Heritage Music Festival

June 5-7, 2025

The American Heritage Music Festival features nationally sanctioned fiddle competitions on multiple stages for an exciting weekend of music in Grove. This event is great for families, with plenty of jamming opportunities and camping sites. Kick off the festival on Thursday at Snider's Camp with an evening event full of Americana music before the festivities continue at Har-Ber Village on Friday and Saturday. Shows will be staggered between two stages, with big evening shows providing a full weekend of great music. Fiddle competition categories include twin fiddle, "anything goes" hot fiddle, Honey Creek special, jukebox, flat-picking, mandolin, Dobro, banjo and more. The festival's finale concert features winners in fiddle divisions plus a full evening of great entertainment.

Riverwalk Summer Concert Series

The Summer Concert Series, presented by Visit the Muscogee Nation, will return to the Jenks Riverwalk amphitheater stage this June and July! All concerts are free of charge and open to the public. In addition to music, guests can enjoy the new Riverwalk playground, restaurants and eateries, pop up vendors and more.

Naked ambition takes over as George and Charlotte do everything in their power to make Capra love them. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, they are on the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue. Tulsa Youth Opera presents: The Hobbit

Unlocking the Secrets of The Hidden Workforce: A Job Readiness Seminar with Employment Attainment and Retainment Strategies for People with Disabilities and their Families

Art Crawl on 66

Gospel Sing – Oklahoma Farmers Market Week Celebration – Spin-n-Knit-In Saturday, June 14th, 2025 Shepherd’s Cross is hosting its annual Gospel Sing. All individuals, families, or church groups are invited to listen or participate. Gospel, Country Christian, Worship and Hymns will be enjoyed inside the Tour Barn. The Gospel Sing is from 1pm to 4pm. We are recruiting volunteer musicians to bring your instruments, your voice, and your favorite songs. Folks can pick, sing, and play together – like the good old days! Those who register in advance are given priority on the roster that fills quickly. However, we will allow walk-ins as time allows. This is also the final day of the inaugural Oklahoma Farmers Market Week. Shepherd's Cross features Farm Fresh and Hand Made Products including: Honey, eggs, chicken, beef, lamb, bread, herbs, baked goods, jams, kefir, kombucha, candy, nuts, produce (limited quantities), pottery, artwork, wool yarn and so much more! We accept cash, card, SNAP/EBT, SFMNP, and Cherokee Nation WIC Farmer's Market. Free gift for every child that visits the farm (limit of one per child). Free bundle of herbs (limit of one per person - Sat. June 14 only) You may even participate in our monthly “Spin-n-Knit-In” where individuals bring and work on their fiber arts projects such as spinning, knitting etc. This is our monthly free help session for fiber arts. Spin-n-Knit-In is from 1pm to 4pm. Donations accepted (suggested donation of $5 per person) Farm Museum, Silo, Wool Mill, Bible Garden, Picnic area & Farm Animal Barn Petting Zoo area will be open. The Farm Store is open Tues-Sat year-round, featuring a host of “woolly” and farm related handmade, crafted by Shepherd’s Cross and over 80 local crafters. Additionally, the shop features a mission section, where 100% of the sale price is returned to the indigenous craftsmen. GRM Bug Run

Ride through the beautiful scenery surrounding Tulsa at the Gospel Rescue Mission Bug Run in June. The event challenges motorcyclists to catch bugs on a target while traveling a sixty-mile route through scenic northeastern Oklahoma. Once you complete the course, return to the Gospel Rescue Mission to tally up your bugs then enjoy live music and cuisine from local food trucks.

Global Gatherings: South Asia & West Asia

Tulsa's Gathering Place will offer visitors ample opportunity to immerse themselves in cultures from around the world during their Summer 2025 Global Gatherings Series. This multi-week cultural program will highlight various regions and cultures of the world present in Tulsa. This year, two world regions will be celebrated on select dates in June and July at the ONEOK Boathouse. The program will conclude near the end of the summer with the Global Gatherings World Festival on August 9.

Spin-n-Knit-In

June 14, 2025 | 1 - 4 p.m.

On the second Saturday of each month, drop by the farm to watch or participate as we fellowship and work hand crafts and fiber arts. Bring a craft to work on or come for a "free help session" with fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, or felting. Shepherd’s Cross offers weaving and fiber arts classes year-round, on an individual or group basis. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility and a Made in Oklahoma Company that processes Animal Welfare Approved fiber (that is chemical free, hormone free, free range, all natural). Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing wool from their own sheep, raised on site. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm and establishes wool mills in remote, impoverished areas around the world. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Shepherd’s Cross and their unique Country Craft Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 – 5:30, year-round (closed some holidays).

Shepherd’s Cross Gospel Singing & Antique Tractor Show will be June 14th. The Antique Tractor Show will be from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Families, church groups and individuals welcome! At the same time as the Gospel Singing is the monthly “Spin–n-Knit-In” – enjoy the music while working on a handiwork project or enjoy watching hand spinners, spinning yarn, and making finished projects.

Tulsa Juneteenth Festival

Enjoy a multi-arts experience that recognizes and celebrates the rich heritage of Tulsa's Greenwood District during the Tulsa Juneteenth Festival. Juneteenth is the oldest holiday celebrating the emancipation of Black Americans who had been enslaved in the United States. This weekend of entertainment will include a celebration of music with nationally-acclaimed artists, an open mic, visual art, educational workshops, performances by local artists and much more. A nearly twenty-year career with limited releases, playing mostly small dives, 2024 has been a year of growth including multiple tours opening for John Moreland and American Aquarium, along with the release of an EP and a full-length album titled Claymore. A solo singer-songwriter, devoted to the craft, refusing to leave anything unsaid.

Woolaroc Kidsfest

Oilman Frank Phillips, known locally as "Uncle Frank," established Woolaroc in 1925 as his country retreat and loved the circus so much he brought it to Bartlesville each year. BotaniCamp

BotaniCamp is a three-day summer adventure at Tulsa Botanic Garden for curious kids ages 7–12! Held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Garden’s Mabee Grange event center, each camp is packed with hands-on, nature-based learning and outdoor fun. On Mondays, campers will explore the Garden and dig into the world of plants with a real horticulturist. Tuesdays bring a closer look at insects and animals, while Wednesdays dive into the wonders of water. With themes changing each day, kids will uncover new discoveries, make new friends, and connect with nature in exciting ways. Bixby Green Corn Festival

Lilac Festival

Lilac Festival is this month’s theme for Food Truck Thursday. This is a seasonal, monthly food truck and shopping event in downtown Claremore typically on the last Thursday of the month, however, for June it will be a week early to celebrate Claremore 66 Days. Running from 6-9 p.m. during the months of May through October, Food Truck Thursday features live, local musicians, a ton of food trucks, late night shopping, a free Kids Zone and a fun atmosphere for everyone. Each month has a different theme for added fun. Downtown shops are open late for shopping! Lilac Festival is the theme for June’s Food Truck Thursday event. Located in Downtown Claremore, there will be fun themed activities for the whole family as well as food trucks. The Downtown area will be shutdown to traffic to fully utilize the space and accommodate all the fun happenings! Presented by Baker Hughes in partnership with Claremore Main Street, there will be food and fun for the whole family.

Tulsa Antique Advertising & Bottle Show

Head to Tulsa Expo Square to shop an array of antiques at the Tulsa Antique Advertising & Bottle Show. Venture through booths from dealers across the country, featuring authentic advertising signs, bottles, jars, tin containers, toys, and post cards. Vendors will also offer antique goods from old country stores, drug stores, barbershops, saloons, auto shops, oil and gas companies and other historical shops. This antique festival will include more than 1,000 tables full of antiques, collectibles and more, making it the largest antique advertising and bottle show in the southwestern United States.

Li'l Buckaroos Kids Camp

Bring your little ones to Li'l Buckaroos Kids Camp at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum this summer. This two-day camp is just for kids ages 5 to 6 and will be full of activities, games, and entertainment tailored just for young children.
