“Allenato” is OPA’s all-youth Performing ARTs company. Allenato students not only study the ARTs, but they develop and empower their character by giving back to the community through service programs, such as T.U.L.S.A., H.A.P.P.Y. and Capture the Spirit, and participate in full-length productions. This concert-based, training-focused program is for ages 5 to 19. These young artists are provided a classical ARTs training in dance (ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics), music (piano and music theory), voice, acting, technical theatre, along with leadership and mentoring experiences. This program is unique and cultivates skills for success as a student and beyond. Registration Link: https://forms.gle/WDKf8AjBWJBB9z4x9
SafeSplash + SwimLabs Swim School will be hosting a weeklong series of virtual water safety events that are family-friendly, free and open to the public July 20-24, 2020. As drownings continue to be the leading cause of death in Oklahoma children ages 1-4, SafeSplash + SwimLabs Swim School is dedicating its Tulsa, Okla. grand opening event to raise community awareness of swim safety. “Educating local communities on swim safety remains one of the greatest public health challenges in the U.S.,” says Dan Real, co-owner of SafeSplash + SwimLabs Swim School. “Teaching children to become comfortable around water at an early age is such an important life skill. At SafeSplash and SwimLabs Swim School, we’re dedicating our grand opening event to swim safety by providing a safe environment for families and children to experience the water under the supervision of professionals with family-friendly activities.” SafeSplash + SwimLabs Swim School’s week-long grand opening event will be free and open to the public.
