MIO Restaurant of the Month

The Picasso Café

By: Value News | Category: Restaurants | Issue: October 2018

The Picasso Café understands that eating is more than just food, it is a  total experience.  The café is full of people that embody such a theory.  It appeals to people that enjoy food and enjoy the atmosphere.

They also support Oklahoma!  They buy only fresh ingredients from local vendors:  Prairie Thunder Baking Company; Pasta Pizazz; Cao Nguyen; Savory Spice Shop; Mediterranean Deli and Wichita Buffalo.  They enjoy giving back to our economy.

One of the amazing features is their “pet friendly” patio.  Your pet can enjoy a menu of dog treats while you’re eating a fine meal of your own.

They serve lunch and dinner from 11 – 4 (Mon – Thur) and 11:00 am – 12:00 am (Fri and Sat).  On Sunday, they serve an amazing brunch from 10-3 and supper from 4 – 9.  Their daily menu consists of artesian hand tossed pizzas, entrees such as roasted artichoke raviolis, delicious pan seared airline chicken and chicken and avocado sandwiches.  Their drink menu is larger than their meal menu!

They are happy to help you with all your catering and private event needs.

The Made in Oklahoma Coalition, founded in the year 2000, is a group of 70+ Oklahoma food manufacturers, growers and producers dedicated to promoting brand awareness for Oklahoma made food and beverage products.

After over a decade of raising awareness for made in Oklahoma products, The MIO Coalition recognized that consumers in our state not only want to shop for local products at the grocery store, but they also want to support the Oklahoma restaurants that incorporate locally produced food and beverage items into their menu’s. Thus, in an effort to make this information more readily available to Oklahoma consumers the MIO Restaurant Program was born.

The Restaurant of the Month promotion was implemented to provide additional support and recognition to MIO restaurant members that go above and beyond the baseline requirements for membership by offering a robust selection of MIO products to their patrons. After each restaurant of the month is selected, a public voting process is implemented at the beginning of the next calendar year to determine who will be named MIO Restaurant of the Year. The winner of the MIO Restaurant of the Year campaign will receive a plaque of recognition, free advertising through MIO, a special feature on the MIO website and social media platforms as well as a $1,000 donation to the food bank of their choice.
