Looking for a fresh, creative place to do your Holiday Shopping?  The 2018 Heart of Broken Arrow Arts & Crafts Show is just around the corner.  The event is Saturday, November 10th, at Central Park Community Center on South Main and will be full of exciting merchandise that will make shopping a snap and gift recipients joyful.  Register for the great door prizes.  You need not be present to win.

The event promises a host of new vendors as well as local favorites that savvy shoppers seek out each year.  Doors are open from 9:00 a.m. thru 4:00 p.m.  Event Chairperson Laurann Farris hopes you, your family and friends will patronize the Show as well as merchants in the newly renovated Rose District located in award winning downtown Broken Arrow where you’ll find a variety of quaint shops and eateries.

Veterans Day will be observed Monday the 12th.  The Broken Arrow Military History Museum will have a display at this year’s show and will display historical military items and answer questions about the Museum located on South Main Street.

Laurann says, “This year’s show will feature hundreds of creative items.  Vendors represent several states with unusual selections like jewelry made from items found on job sites.  There will be offerings of leather, copper, chain, nuts and bolts plus repurposed vintage jewelry…everything from delicate to clunky.”

Ruffles N Bows Boutique specializes in custom-made products. The business is owned by Nancy and Robert Seawright and together they create some of cutest baby items you’ll ever find.  Nancy makes custom bows in every style and color imaginable.  The couple buys and decorates many of their offerings that, in turn, make perfect gifts for little guys or gals from onesie and up.    “We make almost any custom clothing or accessory item for kids” says Nancy.  Visit them at the show and again at their store on Main.

Other items to be featured at the show are gourd lamps and bowls, and beautiful mirrors described from ornate to decorative.  Be sure to check out the beautiful candleholders, antler lamps, paper towel holders, ladder-back chair towel racks and repurposed necklaces and toothpick holders made from vintage silverware.  Handmade by Two will be exhibiting pot holders, quilted bowls, bags and more.  And always a children’s favorite are finger puppets and masks.

Bring your family and friends to the Heart of Broken Arrow Arts & Crafts show.  While you’re there plan to grab a bite to eat at the Concessions area by the kitchen/lunch room.  It will be manned by a local non-profit organization to benefit from food sales.

Watch for Broken Arrow’s Annual Holiday Tea Off announcement in the next issue of Values Magazine.  The event is highlighted by Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, a trolley car, and the opening of the ice skating rink at Broken Arrow’s Farmers Market.
