Dickran Atamian, a world-renowned classical pianist, is hailed to have presented the best arrangement to date of this powerful work. Atamian’s daughter will be the principal performer of RITE.

TULSA FIRST RESPONDERS NINJA WARRIOR COMPETITION

BA NINJA WARRIOR HOSTS FIRST EVER TULSA FIRST RESPONDERS NINJA WARRIOR COMPETITION PRESENTED BY THE BULL RIDING NINJA, VENN JOHNS WHAT: BA Ninja Warrior is hosting Tulsa’s first ever first responder Ninja competition at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4th, raising funds for MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). Teams consisting of members from Tulsa’s first responder organizations, including fire, police and EMTs throughout the Tulsa area, will compete in American Ninja Warrior style competition to raise money for MDA and earn bragging rights for the year as Tulsa’s first responder ninja champions. The day long competitive event will also include food trucks, face painting, vendors and the chance to meet American Ninja Warrior competitors from around the country. A portion of the proceeds will be used to support MDA. BA Ninja Warrior will be accepting donations through April 4th. Those interested in contributing may visit https://gf.me/u/xk43nw. DETAILS: The course will be comprised of 10 obstacles in an American Ninja Warrior style competition that will test balance, agility, speed, coordination, grip strength and will power. Obstacles seen on NBC's hit show, American Ninja Warrior, will be utilized as well as others never seen before in BA Ninja Warrior's new 10,000 square feet location. There will be time limits for each contestant to complete the course and points will be awarded for each obstacle completed. Each obstacle is worth one (1) point. The team with the highest point aggregate will be crowned champion. Competitors will have the opportunity to purchase an obstacle re-try attempt for $50. Teams also have the option of paying $100 for a pro-Ninja as a team participant to run the ninja obstacle course. Being the oldest professional bull rider competing at the most elite level of bull riding, he finds training for the American Ninja Warrior and several recovery techniques allows him to continue to be competitive with bull riders and ninjas half his age. He has more than 20 years of experience that started with the U.S. Olympic training center in Pueblo, CO when he was just 15 years old to training with the legendary PRCA World Champion bull rider, Gary Leffew. Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day

April 16, 2020

In honor of National Healthcare Decisions Day on April 16, Clarehouse is presenting a city-wide collaborative initiative - Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day - to inform citizens across the metro area about the importance of having an advance directive, offer education on how to properly fill out Oklahoma's Advance Directive for Healthcare and encourage conversations between family and friends about healthcare wishes. Throughout the day, we will partner with seven locations across Tulsa to provide easy access to the program. Each location will present the same program - a 6-7 minute informative and instructional video about Oklahoma's Advance Directive for Healthcare followed by two local experts guiding attendees through the form. After the program, the experts will be available for questions and assistance in filling out the form. Registration is required. Superhero Challenge

Do you have the speed, agility, balance, strength and focus to complete the seventh annual Superhero Challenge benefiting the Child Abuse Network? This power-packed, family-friendly day of fun will take place at the beautiful POSTOAK Lodge on Sunday, April 26, 2020, where superheroes of all ages will participate in our new and improved obstacle courses professionally designed by Conquer Youth/Young Lions. After crawling, jumping, swinging and scrambling your way across the finish line, collect your medal and celebrate victory on the grounds of POSTOAK with food, activities, music and more at the Superhero Village. Test your speed and agility with two course options designed by Young Lions/Conquer Youth. 1. superhero CHALLENGE (Ages 6 and up): Climb, crawl, swing and jump your way through a one-mile course including 10 obstacles designed to challenge even the strongest of superheroes. 2. sidekick CHALLENGE (Ages 5 and under): A half-mile course featuring obstacles appropriate for our smaller superheroes. Pick your heat! Pick a heat time based on your schedule and what works for you and your family. General admission race heats will take place every 15 minutes starting at 1 p.m. with the last heat at 3 p.m. This event helps spread awareness about child abuse in our community, and the proceeds help our organization provide intervention services for thousands of children involved in a child abuse investigation at NO cost to families. EVENT NOTES: New this year is a VIP brunch set for 10 a.m. at the POSTOAK lodge. Anyone with brunch tickets receives a brunch meal and early access to fun! Heats for brunch ticket holders begin at noon, and general admission ticket heats begin at 1 p.m. Beat the crowds and get a fun meal with a VIP brunch ticket! Brunch tickets will go on sale March 15, 2020. Deadline for t-shirt selection is April 2, 2020 at 5 p.m.! This is a rain or shine event. NO pets allowed.

Musical Mondays

Tickets are on sale now for LIFE Senior Services' concert series Musical Mondays. The series offers an affordable option to showcase concerts featuring some of the best area talent around. The four concerts for 2020 include Janet Rutland, vocalist, on April 27; Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus on May 18; Richard Miller, Brazilian guitarist, on June 22 and Ryan and Ryan, father & son piano duo on July 27. Tickets are $12 each or $40 for all four concerts. Concerts are held in the Cascia Hall Arts Center Auditorium at 2520 S. Yorktown. (For the easiest access, use the entrance at 25th and Utica.)
