April 2024 marks the 23rd annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In the United States, more than half of all women and over one-third of all men have experienced sexual violence in their lifetime. In the month of April, Safenet Services will be holding their 14th annual Walk a Mile in Their Shoes events to raise awareness and funds to directly support individuals and families impacted by sexual violence across Rogers and Mayes County.
The Mayes County Walk will take place on April 6, 2024 in Pryor at the Mayes County Courthouse. The Rogers County Walk will take place on April 20, 2024 in Claremore at Gazebo Park. Registration for both events opens at 9:45 a.m. Fundraising pages have been created for each location. To register for the walk or make a donation, click the link below:
