Josh Atkinson and his father-in-law, Bob Brady, are co-owners of Custom Pools. The company builds pools and does renovation of vinyl liner in the greater Tulsa area. Pool designs range from basic to extravagant with vinyl pool construction. Having spent years in the industry renovating pools and installing vinyl liners, Mr. Brady founded Custom Pools. Josh did intermittent work on pool projects for Bob for several years before joining him as a partner in the company. After 35 years in business, Custom Pools is proud of the highly respected position the company has attained through years of hard work, commitment and dedication to putting the customer first. If a new pool is the last piece in the puzzle to making your backyard the one in your dreams, Josh would love to help tailor a beautiful pool for you and your family.
According to Tim, one of Josh’s recent customers, “Josh didn’t just build us a pool. He provided us with a place that will ensure years of family fun and memories that will last a lifetime. Our new pool and patio honestly exceed our family’s expectations, and we are completely pleased with Josh and Custom Pools.”
Custom Pools specializes in building new vinyl and fiberglass pools. They also create stamped and colored concrete decks and pool surrounds. “Our operation is truly a turnkey process,” said Josh. “When we meet with a new client, we present all the options available to best fit their needs and budget. We then handle everything – attaining permits, inspections, the dig and build including deck and all equipment agreed upon for operating, sweeping and cleaning the pool. Customers get excited with our option of underwater LED lighting that changes color as the entire pool is brilliantly lighted. We also offer cantilevered, bull-nosed edging to the concrete lip, which gives our pools a real plus in personality and styling.”
Josh grew up in Tulsa and was a basketball star at East Central High School. He received a basketball scholarship to play for the ORU Golden Eagles and met his wife-to-be, Kristin Brady, who was also playing basketball for the ORU women’s team. Kristin is a Broken Arrow High School graduate.
Josh is responsible for project management and sales for Custom Pools. He is the on-site person from beginning to completion of every pool project. “Service is major to us,” said Josh. “Although every job has a foreman, I am also on-location throughout the process from start to finish. We are not a typical franchise pool company. We are family owned and operated, and take pride in providing total customer satisfaction with every pool we build.”
In January of this year, Custom Pools won their region’s Award for Excellence from Latham Manufacturing. Check out their website and when you’re ready to start building a treasury of backyard memories with your family, give Josh and Custom Pools a call.
