AVB Bank Board of Directors proudly approved the promotion of Donna Malaguti to serve as Senior Vice President and Retail Banking Director. In this role, she will oversee AVB’s retail banking strategy and lead AVB’s strategic growth in retail banking. Malaguti’s experience will be essential to AVB’s development, both in the community and as AVB’s digital footprint is expanded.

Malaguti’s Banking Expertise

Malaguti has over 20 years of banking expertise. She joined AVB in 2015, first serving as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager at the Tulsa Mingo location. She was promoted in 2021 to serve as Vice President and Consumer Lender, while continuing her Branch Manager role. Malaguti has thrived in her respected positions, working closely with branch staff to provide leadership and oversight, while developing key relationships with customers within our community.

AVB Bank Chairman of the Board, Kelley Rash, stated, “We are excited for Donna as she steps into this new role as our Retail Banking Director. She has been integral to AVB’s growth and success for the past 10 years, and we look forward to her continued leadership.” Rash continued, “We are fortunate to have employees who stay with AVB for many years, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to see their career growth and development flourish throughout the years.”

Malaguti’s Personal Strengths

Malaguti added, “AVB has always been a strong, community-driven bank built on trust and relationships, and I’m proud to be part of an organization that values thoughtful, inclusive leadership. I’m excited to help lead our retail teams, strengthen connections with our customers and communities, and support an encouraging environment where people are empowered to grow and make a meaningful impact.”

A Broken Arrow native, Malaguti continues to live in the community she serves with her husband, James, and their three daughters. She is graduate of the Oklahoma Bankers Association’s Basic Banking, Consumer Lending, and Intermediate Banking Schools, as well as the Emerging Leaders Program, and remains actively involved in both industry and community leadership. Malaguti participates in the Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW), including the Emerging Leaders Society, Women United affinity group, and the Community Investments Panel, a volunteer group that evaluates funding requests and allocates resources to local nonprofits. She also serves on the Oklahoma Bankers Association’s Women in Banking Committee.
