In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month this past April, CASA of Northeast Oklahoma (Court Appointed Special Advocates) successfully concluded its annual CASA KIDZ’s “Battle of the Counties,” recently announcing this year’s winner.

Rogers County once again claimed the top honor in the 2026 competition, marking its third consecutive year as the trophy holder.

CASA of Northeast Oklahoma Executive Director Emily Bowling presented the traveling trophy to the Rogers County Commissioners during their regular board meeting.

What is CASA KIDZ?

The CASA KIDZ campaign—formerly known as the Paper Doll Project—is a unique awareness and fundraising initiative that brings together businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals across six counties: Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Ottawa, Rogers, and Washington.

Participants sponsored nearly 200 wooden dolls, creatively dressing and displaying them throughout their communities to raise awareness about the challenges faced by children in foster care.

In addition to increasing visibility, the project helps generate critical funding so CASA can recruit and train volunteer advocates who serve the growing number of children in need of support.

Counties competed not only in fundraising efforts but also in collecting clothing donations. All donated items remain within each county to directly benefit local children in foster care.

CASA of Northeast Oklahoma remains dedicated to ensuring every child in foster care has a committed advocate to represent their best interests.

The Rogers County Board of County Commissioners will display the traveling trophy in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room until next year’s competition.
