Report Cards for Cars

Is your car getting a report card each time you take it in for service?

President Bill Knight and Service Manager Bill Duensing of Bill Knight Automotive enjoy discussing a Ford exclusive report card that makes service maintenance simple.

Is your car getting a report card each time you take it in for service? Bill Knight Ford assists customers by making their car’s maintenance schedule simpler than ever. Each time you take your vehicle to Bill Knight’s service department, it will be given a multi-point inspection by a qualified technician, and you will receive a “report card.”

Each item inspected has three boxes – red, yellow, and green – for the technician to check to indicate if service is needed immediately, if the item is approaching a service date, or if the item is okay for now and you need not worry about it. A few of the items inspected include brakes, oil and filter, coolant, transmission fluid, tires (tread wear and damage), heating and air conditioning system including belts and hoses, battery, and much more.

Many people are holding onto their cars longer than ever before, and when a vehicle is serviced at recommended intervals or when needed, it’s going to last longer. A little preventive maintenance is much better than waiting for something to go wrong. The Bill Knight report card is a great reminder to help you stay on top of your vehicle’s maintenance schedule.

Bill Knight customers are also offered the opportunity to join the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Owner Advantage™ program, and membership is free. “This is our way of saying thanks to our customers as we reward them for letting us help take care of their vehicles,” says Knight. The complimentary membership rewards customers with credits just for joining the program, plus they receive a 5 percent credit on all parts and service purchases. These credits can be applied toward future service visits. When you have received four oil and filter changes at Bill Knight, the fifth one is free. Members may keep track of accumulated rewards at the website, www.billknightauto.com.

Standard benefits of the Owner Advantage program include technicians who are extensively trained to know every aspect of your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury; Genuine parts engineered to keep your vehicle performing at its best; and competitive prices on everything your vehicle needs.

Bill Knight also conducts New Owner Clinics every three months for their new Ford, Lincoln and Mercury customers. After settling down from the excitement of buying a new car, new vehicle owners are invited to come to a service clinic and given the opportunity to ask questions they may have about their new vehicles.

All Bill Knight Automotive locations sponsor periodic special events that are open to the public. One such event was held at Bill Knight Ford in September and Bill Knight Lincoln Mercury in October. Each dealership partnered with ttownmoms.com to offer a special "play date" at the dealership to have their vehicles serviced. It included an oil change, tire rotation, and a wash and vacuum. While their vehicles were being serviced, the mothers and their kids were invited to a specially designated area outdoors that featured clowns, balloons and snow cones. Any mom could have her child’s safety seat inspected by a member of the Safe Kids U.S.A. Tulsa Chapter. A certified child seat inspector verified whether or not seats met current safety standards. Keep your eyes open for another of these special events coming this spring.

Bill Knight dealerships are a great place to patronize, and they have an excellent team of employees. Call or come by soon and check them out.
