Rogers County and the health department are proud to introduce a new nurse practitioner,” exclaims Larry Bergner, Regional Director for Rogers County Health Department. The health department is building its staff of health professionals and is optimistic about the future of health for Rogers County.

Erika Rumble is a long time resident of Oklahoma and graduated from Guymon High School. She is attracted to the opportunity of helping women with their unique health care needs through the various stages of life. She believes firmly in preventative care as it prolongs life and gives women the opportunity to experience an improved quality of living. It is an honor for her to be entrusted with the care of a patient and values the relationship with each patient.

She attended Connors State College and received her Associates in Nursing degree. She earned her Bachelor’s Science of Nursing Degree at OU Health Sciences Center in Tulsa. She obtained her master’s degree in Nursing, specializing in Women’s Health from Texas Woman’s University at Dallas.

Ms. Rumble is a certified nurse practitioner and is board certified in Women’s Health. She has 15 years’ experience as a registered nurse in obstetrics, gynecology, urology, internal medicine as well as robotic surgery. She is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists and the Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health Association.

On a personal level, Ms. Rumble has one daughter. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys running and cycling. She especially enjoys cooking for friends and family.

Erika is the first of several new staff members to the health department to be formally introduced. Watch for other introductions to their staff. With the addition of new staff members, the Rogers County Health Department is renewing its goals of reducing chronic disease and obesity, improving child and maternal health, and helping Rogers County be the best county in the state, maybe even the nation, for all health behaviors. Lofty aspirations, but if any community can pull together and do it, Rogers County is the one to make it a reality, beginning with new health department staff and more involvement in our community.
