Scrapbookers in Claremore are probably familiar with Simply Scrapbooks, a unique store with supplies for any scrapbook project. For those who have not yet gotten into the popular hobby, everything the store has to offer will surely get you hooked. Simply Scrapbooks was established in October 2002 and continues to serve its patrons with excellent customer assistance and a variety of products and services.
The large selection of inventory at Simply Scrapbooks sets the store apart from its competitors. Owner Terri Musser takes pride in her constantly-changing stock. She frequently orders supplies from individual vendors and displays new items daily. Musser additionally visits market three or four times each year to generate new ideas for her store and order the most trendy and popular scrapbooking supplies for her customers.
At Simply Scrapbooks, customers can find cardstock paper in 900 colors, specialty papers for any project’s theme, thousands of stickers and a large printable invitation selection. An extensive assortment of embellishments is available, including stamps, epoxies, ribbons, brads and albums. The store offers things that cannot be found everywhere, such as supplies featuring the red and white zebra, the mascot of Claremore schools.
After outgrowing its original location in Ne-Mar Shopping Center, Simply Scrapbooks moved to the shopping center’s new building in January 2005 and doubled in size. With the additional space, Simply Scrapbooks has developed a large workroom for customers and began offering scrapbooking classes of all levels, for kids to experienced scrapbookers. Classes are offered at least twice a week and cover a variety of topics. Musser says, “We just want to be a fun place to shop and crop.”
Simply Scrapbooks’ Kids Club has been popular with children ages seven to 12. The club meets once each month and focuses on how to scrapbook by working with two-page layouts. It inspires children to be creative and make their own mini-scrapbooks about themselves. Children are taught a new technique each month.
With a well-rounded staff of six scrapbookers, Simply Scrapbooks is equipped to help anyone with their creativity needs. Staff members have different levels of expertise, allowing them to teach different classes in their strong suits.
Musser says she began scrapbooking in 1996 and loved it so much that she decided to turn her hobby into her own store. With a college degree in education, she has combined both her interests to form Simply Scrapbooks. The specialty store allows Musser to promote her passion for scrapbooking by offering unique supplies that cannot be found many places, while encouraging and teaching others to embrace their inner-creativity.
