AVB Bank announced several leadership and lending team updates as the Bank continues to expand its commercial, construction development, and mortgage services across the Broken Arrow and Tulsa markets. The announcements include the promotion of Brian Ferrell to Senior Vice President, along with the additions of Nick Wofford and James Dugger to the Bank’s commercial lending and mortgage teams.
Brian Ferrell was promoted to Senior Vice President while continuing to serve as Special Assets Officer. Ferrell earned a business administration degree with a focus in economics from Oklahoma State University. He joined AVB Bank in 2013 and has played a key role in credit administration, portfolio stress testing, appraisal review, loan participation activities, and underwriting complex credits. He brings more than 28 years of banking experience spanning commercial credit, lending, collections, and real estate management.
AVB Bank also announced the addition of Nick Wofford as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lender and Director of Construction Development. Wofford earned a degree in marketing and finance from Northeastern State University and is co-founder of Core Society in Bixby. He brings more than 19 years of banking experience with expertise in commercial lending, portfolio management, business development, and residential construction development. In his role, he will support AVB’s commercial lending initiatives and oversee residential construction development efforts throughout the market.
Additionally, James Dugger has joined the AVB Mortgage Center as Vice President and Senior Mortgage Officer. Dugger is a graduate of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Consumer Lending, Commercial Lending, and Intermediate Bank Schools and currently serves on the Indian Nations Youth Sports Board. He brings more than 20 years of experience in mortgage lending, operations, portfolio growth, and risk management. His background includes extensive experience helping individuals, families, and self-employed borrowers navigate the mortgage process while supporting operational efficiency and loan growth.
