Get your holiday shopping started early at Crazy for Crafts Fest on November 6 and 7.

Get your holiday gift shopping underway at Claremore Main Street’s Crazy for Crafts Fest on November 6 and 7. Downtown merchants are pleased to welcome this major crafts event, according to Cindy Bissett, director of Claremore Main Street. “This provides easy access to all the downtown shopping venues and restaurants. And it really gets you in the mood to start Christmas shopping,” she says. Crazy for Crafts Fest will be held in two downtown buildings – 420 W. Will Rogers (formerly Antique Peddlers Mall) and 409 W. Will Rogers (formerly Peachtree Antiquary.)

This year’s show is expected to draw an estimated 1,000 shoppers from Oklahoma and surrounding states. It’s a favorite because lots of high-quality, one-of-a-kind items are available every year. And they are priced reasonably. You are sure to find something special for everyone on your shopping list, including the person who has everything.

The show features approximately 100 vendors with a wide range of artistry and skill. You will find pottery, quilts, weaved baskets, leather works, wood carvings, tole paintings, stained glass, furniture, dolls, jewelry, clothing, and bath and body products.

Holiday decorations and home décor will abound in country, modern and traditional styles. Crazy for Crafts Fest will feature several “Made in Oklahoma” products, including seasonal gourmet items.

Vendors say that they especially enjoy this show because they form ongoing relationships with their customers. Special orders and reorders keep them in touch throughout the year.

Admission to Crazy for Crafts Fest is $3 per person, and children 12 and under get in free. The admission price gets you into both buildings. Admission is only $1 with a canned good or nonperishable food item for Share the Spirit. This charitable foundation of The Claremore Daily Progress helps needy families in Rogers County. All the food collected will be used in Thanksgiving food baskets. Cindy notes that the need has never been greater. Shoppers are encouraged to bring several items, if possible.

Crazy for Crafts Fest is sponsored by Claremore Main Street, a nonprofit organization affiliated with Oklahoma Main Street and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. The focus of Claremore Main Street is on historical preservation, business retention, new business development and landscaping that makes downtown Claremore the heart and soul of the community. Proceeds from this year’s show will be used for additional benches and planters downtown, and for other beautification projects.

Door prizes will be given away every hour while you enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas at Crazy for Crafts Fest. Hours are Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call Cindy Bissett at (918) 341-5881.
