Nestled in the middle of the shops of Seville, Canterbury Lane offers a unique variety of gifts and home décor in Tulsa.  Located just off of South Yale Avenue, the cozy store is packed with gifts for any season, holiday or occasion. Sisters Allison and Emily Benesh own the store that their mother opened in 2007.  They offer a mix of fun and practical items for all your gifting needs, many of them exclusive to Canterbury Lane.
Allison and Emily are proud that their store is the only one in Oklahoma to offer Maileg toys.  Kids like to play with the Danish-made animal dolls and accessories while adults like to collect them.  The bunnies, mice, deer and giraffes that come in different sizes each have their own life-like personalities.  Old world craftsmanship goes into the hand-knit dresses and hand-stitched eyes.  All the dolls are hand washable and have no removable parts for children to tear off.
One of the most popular lines in the store is Corkcicle.  These tumblers and canteens keep drinks hot or cold at home or on-the-go and come in a variety of colors and sizes.  The proprietary triple insulation in each of the products keeps drinks hot for up to three hours and cool for nine hours. The larger canteens remain hot for 12 hours and keep cool for 25 hours.
“Everyone just loves these,” says Emily.  “People receive them as a gift and then come back to get one for someone else.”
Allison suggests Beatriz Ball platters and serving bowls for a wedding or house-warming gift for anyone who enjoys entertaining.  Skilled metal ware artisans in Mexico sand-cast each item by hand to ensure that each piece is a little different.
“These are not only pretty, they are practical too,” she says.  “They can go from oven to refrigerator and they always look good without any polishing.”
Another customer favorite is the Scout line of bags, containers and accessories.  Canterbury Lane carries a large assortment of lunch coolers, tote bags, cosmetic carriers, wallets and more.  The storage containers that hold up to 300 pounds are colorful and attractive.  All Scout products are made with sturdy polypropylene that wipes clean in an instant, which makes them practical for lake or travel!
In addition to their highly fragranced Votivo candles, the store offers the new Votivo Black Box fan diffuser.  Just slip in a long-lasting fragrance pod and enjoy a rich fragrance at the push of a button.  The Black Box operates by battery or power.
“Moms love these for dorm rooms,” says Emily. “Not only that, but they’re safe around pets and young children.”
The Three Designing Women custom rubber stamp is another popular gift idea. This is a no-mess rubber stamp for home or office.  You choose the design from a large selection of templates that range from classic to trendy.  In just five business days you’ll have a rubber stamp that produces sharp, clean images that look like they could have been printed.  The Three Designing Women rubber stamp has been featured in numerous national magazines, including O Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, Real Simple, InStyle, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Brides, Modern Bride, Better Homes & Gardens, Redbook and Southern Living.
The variety of choices is nearly endless.  Stop in to browse or, if you’re in a hurry, a friendly and knowledgeable staff member can help you make the perfect selection.  Canterbury Lane is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 until 5:30.
