Squeeze a little extra music into your day with Music Sandwiched In, a biweekly series of performances from local musicians every other Monday at Central Library, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue, from 12:10-12:50 p.m., beginning June 8 and continuing through July 20. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch to enjoy during the performances. This series is sponsored by the Tulsa Library Trust, and all events are free and open to the public.

Music Sandwiched In is one of the featured event series offered as part of the 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story,” a free, all-ages program offered through July 31. You can register for the Summer Reading Program at any Tulsa City-County Library or online at www.TulsaLibrary.org/summer.

He has the unique distinction of receiving both a diploma and special award at the International Frederic Chopin Competition in Warsaw, Poland (1975), as well as having been inducted into the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame (2006).

July 6, Connie Cronley and Anna Norberg

Cronley and pianist Norberg will present “Fireflies and Fireworks,” a summer program of piano and poetry, lighthearted and romantic, featuring music from Debussy to Cole Porter, including “Clair de Lune" and “The Ladies in Lavender,” and playful verse from “Archy and Mehitabel” to “The Pussycat's Tea Party.” The program also features pyrotechnical poetry by Gerard Manley Hopkins and the comic murder ballad “Miss Otis Regrets.”
