There is no shortage of shopping in the ever-growing and exciting Rose District in Broken Arrow, and Plum Wild Boutique is a strong stitch in the fabric of this dynamic downtown scene.
The owner, Sally Redwine, was looking for something new to do when a crafty friend of hers was seeking a place to sell her handmade wreaths. With space on her hands available in downtown Broken Arrow as the Rose District was just budding, she decided to open her own vendor fueled boutique in November 2015. A major portion of the merchandise that was for sale at that time was a large stock of antique metal ceiling tiles from the 1930s that were donated to the Broken Arrow Historical Museum. The tiles were originally from the old school that is now Central on Main. It was a large fundraising effort and a treasure for anyone who was able to purchase them. “It was really fun being able to help them sell those,” said Sally. “We still have a
few available!”
The shop was moved from the far end of town to a new location at 112 South Main Street. Plum Wild has been at its current location in the very heart of downtown for two years. The boutique still offers space for vendors, while Sally’s own finds are available as well. “The shop’s inventory is half local vendors and half mine,” Sally said. “We merchandise it like a store though. We don’t have booths. We are the closest thing to a shopping center in The Rose District, because we have so many different things,” she said.
A gorgeous, and trend-savvy clothing selection can be found, with styles ranging in size from xs-xl, and a wonderful selection of plus-size as well. Sally and her two amazing sales associates, Katy and Autumn, are always excited to help put together complete fashionable looks. “We love for people to be happy when they leave here,” said Sally. “We make it our job to try on the clothes ourselves to make sure we know how it fits.” The latest style for spring, according to Sally, is “Athleisure Wear.” The Simply Noelle brand can be found at the boutique, providing super cute looks with comfort. “Everyone is wearing this instead of jeans,” said Sally. “I’m in love with their style and fabric.”
Many customizable jewelry and gift items, including a snap bracelet, with interchangeable designs.
Almost anything available in the store can be customized. Plum Wild makes finding unique gifts for anyone a snap! Jewelry, cups and glasses, pillows, baby items, shirts, bags, and many other items are all customizable with embroidery or vinyl lettering. Special orders for groups or teams can also be purchased and tailor-made. They are an exclusive Broken Arrow merchant for Vintage Pearl jewelry, a trusted name in personalized necklaces, rings and bracelets.
A popular item in the shop is the Shirt of the Month. Every month, a new design is created and available for purchase in all sizes for $12.99. Plus-sizes are available as well. “Everyone loves these designs,” said Sally. “All of our customers are so excited for the next month they prepay before they even see it because they are always so great.”
Many items can be viewed and bought online on their website at www.plumwildboutique.com, Facebook and Instagram. There are so many crazy cute things to be found at the boutique that will drive you wild!
