Bow hunter and outdoor writer Eddie Claypool will be a special guest at the Outdoor Sporting Expo in Claremore.

Hunting, fishing, archery, boating safety – all things outdoors will be coming to the Claremore Expo Center for the 3rd annual Outdoor Sporting Expo, March 12-13. Vendors and celebrities will be on hand with booths and demonstrations during the event that offers something for everyone in the family.
Presented by the Claremore Chamber of Commerce, Claremore Main Street and the Claremore Expo Center, the expo will encompass all kinds of outdoor activities, according to the planning committee.
The event will include shopping, seminars, bass tub demonstrations, archery competitions and more. Attendees can browse through an assortment of booths related to hunting, fishing, boat safety and more. Well-known individuals in the fields of hunting, fishing, and noodling will be on hand to demonstrate their skills, answer questions and sign autographs.
The expo will feature special appearance by celebrities in the outdoor world, including professional archer, Randy Oitker, seen on “The Outdoor Channel” and Guinness World Records; bow hunter and outdoor writer Eddie Claypool; Bassmaster angler Terry Butcher; teenage hunter Lincoln Tapp, as seen on YoungWild.tv; Roger Raglin, known as “America’s Favorite Whitetail Deer Hunter;” crappie seminars by Dale York and Jack Dennis; fly fishing tips with Green Country Fly Fishers; bass tub demos by Chuck and Chase Deveraux; and champion noodlers Colby and Terry Morrow.  
Show hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 12 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 13.
New to the Outdoor Sporting Expo is an adult and youth 3-D archery competition. Kids can experience archery fun of their own with the hands-on Right On Target Archery in Schools Program, a catch-and-release fishing pond, sling shot, buck scoring and more.
Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for seniors, veterans and youth. Kids 10 and under are admitted free. With every $10 admission, a drawing ticket is included. Families or groups can attend Sunday during the Half-Price Family Day promotion.
