With spring only a month away, many parents may be examining their children’s wardrobes in anticipation of warmer temperatures, making it the perfect time to visit Children’s Orchard™ in Owasso, where you can sell and buy gently used, quality clothing, toys and accessories for children.

“We offer a huge selection of high quality items for up to 80 percent off retail, with brands like Gymboree, Children’s Place, Baby Gap and Justice,” says Kari Hendrix, owner of Children’s Orchard in Owasso. “We focus on saving our customers money.” This focus has been paramount for Kari since she bought the Owasso location two years ago. Children’s Orchard has remained at this location – 12307 N. 96th St. N., in the same shopping center as Kohl’s and Wal-Mart – and Kari reports that her business has grown over 65 percent in the last two years.

It was this growth and a desire for even greater development that prompted Kari to expand the back buying area of the store. “We’ve ripped out the old counters, added a second buying station, and added lighting so we can handle additional buys from customers,” says Kari. “It is super easy to sell to us – we offer cash on the spot or 30 percent more for in-store credit.” Buying hours are from 9:30 a.m. to

4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and a typical time allotment involves 20 minutes for two small sacks of clothing, or a few toys or pieces of equipment. “If you have more stuff to bring in than what we allow for a walk-in, we do schedule multiple appointments daily.”

The system has been greatly successful, not only because a struggling economy has made people more conservative about discarding items that are still in great condition, but because Children’s Orchard’s highly selective process allows them to offer great prices on name brand clothing. Examples of great prices include a pair of Gap jeans for $6.99, a Ralph Lauren polo for $4.99, and a Baby Lulu dress for $7.99. These are huge savings over retail, where a brand new Ralph Lauren dress could cost $75 or more, as opposed to under $15 at Children’s Orchard.

Everything on the racks at Children’s Orchard has been carefully examined for quality and signs of wear by the staff, so buyers can feel confident they are not just getting a good bargain – they are getting an excellent one. Children’s Orchard also buys and sells items like strollers and car seats, as well as new accessories such as hair bows and toys.

Whether you are focused on providing a quality wardrobe for your child at highly discounted prices or you would simply like to turn cluttered closets and drawers into cash in your pocket (without having to open your home to strangers with a yard or garage sale!), be sure to visit Children’s Orchard in Owasso, where quality and savings bloom every day. Store hours are 9:30 am to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
