Mikhy Smith, store manager of Tumble In Broken Arrow, indicates that the cost of name-brand flat screen televisions has dropped significantly.

Tumble In opened its doors in Broken Arrow in early August of this year. With its humble beginnings in Muskogee in 1942, the company also has stores in Muskogee and McAlester. In 1973 the stores became known as Tumble In Television and Appliance. The company is an active member of a 7,500-member buying group known as Nationwide Buying Group, with annual combined purchases of appliances and electronics totaling over $11 billion. Broken Arrow store manager Mikhy Smith says, “This group’s buying power gives us the ability to remain competitive with the larger box stores.” Tumble In maintains a low overhead with a volume-pricing approach, contributing to the company’s overall success. According to Smith, “We want to become Broken Arrow’s neighborhood TV and appliance store.”

Though the Broken Arrow store carries virtually every major appliance for the home – televisions and entertainment center products, refrigerators, freezers, washers and dryers, and a multitude of built-in cooking products – you may be interested in checking out some of the items that are always hot during the holidays. Smith says that the 32-inch flat screen televisions have been popular all year and that prices are significantly lower on brand name products as the holidays draw closer. “Even though the economy has been down, digital TV sales are up,” he says. Make a note, if you haven’t already, that the digital TV transition will occur February 17, 2009.

Major appliances carried by Tumble In include Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, KitchenAid Countertop, Jenn-Air, Amana, Frigidare, and Electrolux. The electronics side includes the names of Pioneer Elite, LG, Toshiba, Hitachi, Sony, Sharp, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Zenith, Onkyo, Definitive Technology, Monster and DirecTV. They also carry Oreck and Dyson vacuum cleaners and will assist you with custom installations of your appliances or electronics.

Smith anticipates one of the largest Christmas sales seasons ever and says he’s seeing more customers making planned purchases – selecting products, saving their money, and buying the product when they can pay for it in full. However, if you are interested in purchasing on credit, Tumble In will finance products through Wells Fargo. The store also offers layaway for 90 days with a down payment of 10 percent of the purchase price. The customer then has the option to make partial payments during the layaway period or pay off the complete amount at the time of pickup or delivery.

If you are building or remodeling, you may want to consider Tumble In’s storage program. They will store any paid-in-full product for you in their huge, secure warehouse. This permits you to find the products you want at today’s price and know that the merchandise will be safe until your home or project is ready for them. There’s no need to risk storing products in the garage where they might be stolen.

Built-in cooking and countertop appliances are popular not only for the holidays, but year-round. Tumble In carries a huge selection of Electrolux appliances with innovative performance and ingenious features. These products have been used in fine European homes and restaurants for over 70 years. That same level of uncompromising quality and performance is now available in North America. This lineup includes single and double wall ovens, warmer drawers, induction hybrid cooktops plus gas and electric cooktops, built-in ranges, freestanding ranges, over-the-range microwaves and built-in microwaves. They also carry a full line of Electrolux and other refrigerators and freezers, and an assortment of wine towers and coolers.

If you’re looking for an appliance for your home or a nice gift for the entire family, you owe it to yourself to check out Tumble In of Broken Arrow.
