Catoosa native Karen Parham has come back to her roots with her new consignment store, A 2nd Look.
Shopping for a furniture bargain is fun and easy on a budget at A 2nd Look in Catoosa. The consignment store on Route 66 offers furniture, home décor, gifts and more, with an eclectic mix of antiques, painted furniture, traditional and trendy pieces.
Owner Karen Parham, a Catoosa native who now resides in Tulsa, says she is pleased to come back to her roots with her new business, open since November. There is something about Catoosa’s small-town friendliness and people knowing and caring about each other that made this the ideal place.
“I want people to know they can come in here and get a good piece of furniture for a good price,” she adds. Big things and little things for every room in the house – A 2nd Look has them all. A recent visit featured a complete dining room set, chests, trunks, chairs, tables, lamps, dishes, wall décor, home accessories, fashion jewelry and vintage linens.
A lifelong bargain hunter, Karen takes every opportunity to shop for merchandise to add to her pre-loved consignments, many of which are like new but at a small fraction of their original prices. “If I find something special that I know a customer is looking for, I’m happy to take a picture and send it to her,” she says. Going the extra mile to please customers makes shopping at A 2nd Look a welcome experience that sets it apart from any other store.
Also featured are CeCe Caldwell eco-friendly, natural clay paints. This self-priming paint is popular among both novices and professionals for furniture, walls and just about any surface. No fumes and no BOC’s makes CeCe Caldwell paints a wise choice for household members with respiratory ailments or other health issues. A 2nd Look carries quarts and sample jars of all 36 colors and five finishes.
Among the gift lines at A 2nd Look are the all-natural Salt Soothers bath salts and body scrubs that feel as good as they smell. Personalized plates, platters and mugs can be ordered with names or dates to thank a hostess, mark a wedding day or baby arrival, or to say “thank you” to a favorite teacher.
New consignors are welcome with a few pieces of good, clean merchandise or a full gallery. Whether buying or selling, A 2nd Look is worth taking a look. The store is located a mile and a half northeast of Hard Rock Casino Tulsa, in the Village Mart Shopping Center across from Bank of the Lakes.
