For years Spinal Decompression of Oklahoma has been effectively treating this pain. Affiliated with Claremore Health Associates, Inc., the clinic is operated by founder Dr. Dwight Korgan and his colleagues Dr. Gary Fortner and Dr. Steven Egleston. According to Dr. Korgan, any person who suffers from back or neck pain, no matter their age or occupation, can benefit from spinal decompression therapy. “Our patients are diverse. We see everyone from office workers to construction workers to retirees,” says Dr. Korgan.

Intervertebral Disc Decompression (IDD) Therapy®, or spinal decompression, is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment option for herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, sciatica, and general low back and neck pain. The treatment relieves pressure between vertebrae, causing water, oxygen and nutrients to flow freely throughout the spine and re-hydrate the discs. Patients are administered treatments on the Accu-SPINA machine. IDD Therapy protocols typically last 20 sessions, an hour and a half each session. Spinal Decompression of Oklahoma is the only medical physician-directed Accu-SPINA treatment center in the area, with a qualified doctor overseeing all procedures.

Studies have shown that IDD Therapy is effective, but the proof is really in the positive results of the facility’s patients. “We have about an 80 percent success rate,” says Dr. Korgan.

One of Spinal Decompression’s patients, Denise, encourages others to give IDD Therapy a chance, even if they’ve tried everything else. “For the past eight years I have been living with daily pain from three herniated discs and spinal stenosis. I went to numerous specialists, chiropractors and pain management clinics, but major surgery was my future,” says Denise. “After seven treatments at Spinal Decompression of Oklahoma, I woke up with no pain. My future is truly bright. The doctors and technicians are so caring, compassionate and knowledgeable that I feel like I’m at a day spa instead of receiving back treatment. If you’re living in pain, don’t put it off.”

Spinal Decompression patient Brenda said that IDD Therapy was the only thing that relieved her headache and sinus pain. “I have experienced headaches for more than 10 years now, due mostly to an old neck injury. My cervical decompression is coming up on the fourteenth treatment. For the past week and a half, I have not needed prescription pain medications for headache pain,” says Brenda. “My sinus congestion is also becoming less of a problem, as my sinuses drain better now. Decompression is much more effective today than the old-fashioned treatment I received in 1984. I am thankful for the relief I have received.”

Several patients travel out of their way for the quality patient care at Spinal Decompression of Oklahoma. “Dr. Korgan was patient and listened to my complete history and clearly made thorough notes. I have seen a lot of doctors, and most of them were always in a hurry. I really appreciated the time spent on my behalf – it made the commute to Claremore well worth it,” says Suzanne of Broken Arrow.

“The staff made me feel comfortable and at ease, and that was their number one priority,” says Owasso resident David. Tulsa resident John agrees: “Everything was beyond what I expected – excellent staff, excellent doctor, great procedure.”

“I was very pleased with the treatment I received,” says Inge, who lives in Chelsea. “The doctor and staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. My back is pain-free. I am now able to sleep through the night. I was recommended by a friend, and I will now recommend this treatment to anyone with back problems.”
