Spring is fast approaching, and with it comes many plans for weddings. A bride can become easily overwhelmed at all of the tasks surrounding even a small, intimate wedding and can get flustered by all the details. How much easier would it be to visit one place and check everything off the list at once?
The good news is that such a place does exist in the form of the annual Claremore Bridal Fair. Past Fairs have been very successful, as vendors, designers, caterers, photographers and many more have lent their considerable talent, expertise and enthusiasm that creates a festive, low-stress atmosphere in which to consider all of the elements.
This year, the Bridal Fair will be held at the Claremore Community Center on March 17th from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The facility offers a larger space for vendors to display their merchandise and more room to move through what is always a well-attended event. Brides-to-be are able to view items and information about invitations, dresses, tuxedos, flowers, caterers, music and entertainment, reception halls, photographers and even honeymoon trips during the one-day event.
Sue Parks of Campbell Travel in Claremore conceived the original idea of an event directed towards honeymoon destinations, but the plan very rapidly turned to hosting a full-out bridal show.
“The event has been an overwhelming success, and we look forward to this year’s bridal fair to be even bigger and better than ever,” says Shirley Campbell, travel agent. “We have been very happy with everyone who has participated in the past and also those who are taking part in the 2007 event.”
There will be a stage and seating area for the fashion show in the main showroom. The show itself, which displays a wonderful selection of wedding dresses, from simple elegance to princess extravagant, is one of the highlights of the Bridal Fair. The shows will be held twice during the day, the first beginning at 1:30 p.m. and the second at 3:30 p.m. There will also be a grand giveaway drawing at 4:45 p.m., so everyone is encouraged to stay until the end of the day.
Experts will be on hand to give future brides good tips for their weddings. Brides may hire consultants who can teach how to work with budgets, keep track of expected guests, where the best places to register are and where to find a great videographer.
Allow the Claremore Bridal Fair be a special day to preclude your very special day. The Claremore Community Center is located at 2301 North Sioux Avenue. For more information about the Bridal Fair, contact Sue Parks or Shirley Campbell at Campbell Travel at (918) 341-6866.
