Don and Donna Merritt have built their Christian-based business on the highest standards and, as Donna puts it, “We’ve always treated our customers the same way we like to be treated.” This foundation has successfully worked for the couple now celebrating 25 years of experience in the carpet cleaning industry. The business began with one portable carpet-cleaning unit in the back of the Merritt’s Honda Accord. Today, Victory operates a fleet of five vans and IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) crews in the Tulsa market. They use only the finest state-of-the-art, hot-water-extraction carpet cleaning equipment and all their technicians are licensed and bonded.

A member of the Tulsa Better Business Bureau, Donna says they are proud of their record of never having a complaint registered with BBB. “In fact,” she adds, “we have many long-time customers who let us into their homes, go to work, and tell us to just be sure to lock up when we leave.” It’s this high level of customer confidence and trust that makes Victory and their employees most proud and has placed them in an industry leadership role in the Tulsa market.

Victory has expanded their services to include tile grout cleaning and resealing. They also clean dryer vents. A wet-cleaning service for Oriental rugs permits Victory technicians to remove more dirt from deep down in the fibers. This process is recommended by Victory rather than the more traditional dry cleaning method. In addition, Victory will pick up, clean, and deliver area rugs, and they provide water damage restoration at fair prices.

Not only does the Victory cleaning process make carpets cleaner, it actually sanitizes carpets as they are cleaned by a 100% safe chemical cleaning process applied at 220-230 degrees Fahrenheit. The process is actually effective in killing germs. If it will benefit the customer, Victory recommends a Scotch Guard process that makes future cleaning and maintenance much easier. Scotch Guard can actually make spills easier to clean and prevent wear and tear. And the process is very inexpensive when compared to having to replace a carpet because of a spill that becomes a permanent stain.

“One of our most frequently asked questions,” explains Donna Merritt, “is if the chemicals we use in the cleaning process are really safe for children and pets.” The chemicals Victory uses are the best available and all have been tested and proven to be child and animal friendly. In addition to carpet repair and restretching, Victory Carpet & Upholstery also provides stain and odor treatments that can remove even strong pet odors.

Don Merritt advises that some of the leading carpet manufacturers like Shaw and Mohawk state in their warranties that carpets must be hot water extraction cleaned at least one time per year to maintain the carpet manufacturer’s warranty.
