Are you a consumer looking for a different type of shopping experience? Or are you a merchandiser who would like space to sell products without having to rent an entire storefront? The Market in Owasso can address both needs with its unique approach to retail.

“This particular store was opened to keep up with Owasso’s rapid growth,” says Rena Colclazier, district manager of The Market stores. “We have other locations in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Texas and Arkansas, and since Owasso is experiencing a lot of rapid development, we felt that this location would be ideal and most beneficial to shoppers and vendors.”

The concept for The Market began when a few designers and small-business owners did not want to deal with storefronts and all the expenses that come with such locations. The Market provides space for merchants who have a variety of items, including furniture, antiques, gifts and art. The concept has been very successful.

Merchandisers wanting a cost-effective method for promoting their businesses find that renting space at The Market is quite beneficial. All utilities are paid, the business is open seven days a week, and the entire store is staffed by employees who sell the items for the vendors. Vendors do not have to attend their booths at all times. The Market also pays for all ads and promotions.

“We want to help merchandisers develop their businesses,” says Colclazier. “The variety of vendors also benefits the store as a whole. It’s almost like a mall. We feature over 100 boutiques under one roof, without all the inconveniences of a mall.”

Each location features a restaurant. The Market’s café adds to the overall atmosphere of the store, and customers are able to take a break from shopping and get something quick to eat. “Shoppers can really make a day of it,” says Colclazier. The balcony above restaurant is ideal for private parties, receptions, wedding and baby showers and more.

The Market’s Owasso location is having its grand opening this month. Entertainment will be featured throughout the day. Customers are encouraged to shop, eat, and enjoy.

The Market has a lot to offer vendors and customers with its unique store setup. If you are interested in renting space or just want more information, call Rena Colclazier at (918) 808-7371.
