Cindy and James Thomas own Thomas Kwik Kar in Claremore and Owasso.

James and Cindy Thomas, owners of Thomas Kwik Kar, maintain a business of quality car care and excellent customer service. The Thomas’ realize that maintaining vehicles is expensive, especially with rising gas prices. In an effort to thank customers for their continued support, Thomas Kwik Kar will be holding customer appreciation events at both its Owasso and Claremore locations.

Thomas Kwik Kar, a Business of the Year award winner, offers more than just lube services. “A lot of people think we’re like other Kwik Kar franchises and only do oil changes,” Cindy says. “However, we do everything from detailing to transmissions to tune-ups. Everything.” Services offered by Thomas Kwik Kar include alternators, brakes, batteries, water pumps, front ends, fuel pumps, hoses, radiators, rear ends, shocks, struts, timing belts and tires, just to name a few. The company services 8,000 to 13,000 foreign and domestic vehicles each year.

This year’s customer appreciation event will be held August 9 in Owasso and August 16 in Claremore. Both events will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature big specials and discounts. Customers can stop by to enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill and take advantage of discounted oil changes. Giveaways will also take place throughout both events for such items as free oil changes, free detailing, hats, shirts and other goodies.

A fourth-generation mechanic, Cindy says she has been working on cars since before she could even drive. Her family had continually emphasized the importance of taking care of one’s vehicle and knowing how every part works. “Buying an automobile is the largest investment you can make in your life,” Cindy says. She aims to help patrons, not just by servicing their vehicles, but by educating them to keep their vehicles safe and well-maintained.

With her extensive experience in automobile service and over 20 years of certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, Cindy tries to share her knowledge with others. Thomas Kwik Kar hosts car care clinics every spring and fall to teach drivers everything they need to know about the workings of their cars. “We’ll teach you about how to use your car,” Cindy says. “Getting people educated is the most important thing. It doesn’t matter to me if you have it serviced here or not.”

In addition to its clinics, Thomas Kwik Kar offers patrons a service for examining used vehicles before they are purchased. “I go over cars with a fine-tuned comb,” Cindy says. “We insure that the car you get is worth the money you’re paying.” Customers can even be consulted on what kinds of vehicles to buy for reliability and which to avoid. Cindy also mentions the importance of having young adults’ vehicles serviced during the month of August. With college students driving long distances to return to school, having reliable transportation is of utmost importance.

Visit Thomas Kwik Kar at either its Owasso or Claremore locations for car care from experienced technicians. Fast, friendly service is guaranteed.
