A wide assortment of sandstone is available in unique shapes, colors and surfaces.

Rock Solid Materials in Bixby is still offering tons of fun and beauty with their unusual assortment of rocks and stones. And now, new items have been added to the outdoor showroom. Additional rock and stone products, driftwood, outdoor furniture and etched stone can now be purchased at Rock Solid’s showroom. Located at the Easton Sod Farm at 123rd Street and South Memorial, Rock Solid’s location has been familiar to area residents for years.

A line of lawn and patio furniture, made in the Bixby area, has been added to Rock Solid’s product selection. Chairs, recliners, footstools, tables and gliders are available in natural or stained wood finish. Each is assembled using western red cedar and stainless steel wood screws. According to Bryan Ketchum, owner of Rock Solid Materials, new pieces of flagstone, native to Bixby and other parts of Oklahoma, as well as Arkansas, have been introduced to the store.

Custom-etched sandstone can suit individual tastes. Ketchum says, “Area youth sports teams are selling our sandstone products as fundraisers for their organizations.” Stones are etched with the teams’ logos or names. Anyone interested in more details about this youth fundraising program should call Ketchum for more details.

The outdoor showroom includes some very large, interesting, sandstone boulders that look like they are fresh off an Arizona landscape. Colors are varied and include shades such as rose, sand and orange. Unique in shape, color and surface texture, the boulders make interesting focal points in any yard or garden area.

Rock Solid’s tumbled stones in many color variations are frequently used by customers for flowerbed edging and as linings for the bottoms of ponds. And for all of us who enjoy spending time in our backyards, now is the perfect time to be thinking about the addition of a do-it-yourself outdoor fire pit. Ideal for hot dog roasts, s’mores, or any fall outdoor event, fire pits can also make spending time with family and friends even more special.

According to Ketchum, Rock Solid receives two to three truckloads of rock and stone products each week from the company’s quarries. He invites anyone to stop by and take a look at his new products. This is really a fun place to visit and sparks the imagination for dressing up a home’s outdoor area. If you are driving by, honk and give Bryan a wave. He will probably wave back.
