Mason, Jana and Mike provide customer assistance, shipping solutions and more at The UPS Store in Broken Arrow.

After moving to Oklahoma in 1979 and launching a 20-year career in medical sales in the early 1980’s, Mike McLea developed a yearning to own a UPS store. While he lived in Bixby for a short while, Mike’s neighbor owned a few UPS stores. Mike says, “I walked into one of those stores about a year and a half ago and it just clicked that this was what I wanted to do one day.” Mike obtained a franchise brochure and began consulting his neighbor about the possible career move.

Mike finally had the opportunity to purchase The UPS Store on East Kenosha in Broken Arrow in early March of this year. The store has been at its Kenosha location since 1999. “With all the good things happening in the Broken Arrow community, it was really an easy purchase decision to make,” says Mike. After the purchase, Mike immediately began making changes to improve the services and aesthetics of the store.

Although most of us think of UPS as only a shipping specialist, The UPS Store offers many additional products, benefits and services. Notary services, computer services, greeting cards, passport photos, money orders and transfers, lamination, mailbox services and post office services are a just a few. The UPS Store also offers a wide selection of paper stocks, office supplies and printing services for stationery and business cards. “We can also copy, collate and send and receive faxes for our patrons,” adds Mike.

Mike’s UPS store is open 24 hours, enabling customers to use its services anytime. Customers can pick up their mail whenever it is convenient with their schedules or save a trip by calling to find out if there are packages or mail to be picked up. UPS also holds or forwards mail for customers leaving town.

There is always someone available to sign for customers’ packages from UPS and other major carriers, a service not found many other places. The UPS Store offers complete air, ground and international services for shipping. Packing experts at the store will pack items using only the highest standards to ensure that packages arrive safely at their destinations.

If you are thinking about relocating your home or business, The UPS Store offers custom handling and packaging from blanket wrap to custom cartons and crating. Mike’s employees are always willing and qualified to make recommendations for the best way to protect and ship merchandise.

The UPS Store can manage the packaging, delivering and picking up of your shipment. Check out Mike’s new store in Broken Arrow for this and many other services, as well as the latest and most popular products.
