Events Manager, Amber Hinkle (left), and Communications and Marketing Manager, Lindsay Cunningham (right), encourage anyone and everyone to shop in Broken Arrow during this holiday season to support local small businesses and maybe win big!

Buy Broken Arrow is the best way to support local businesses and maybe even win some of those shopping dollars back!  From November 2 through December 15, make your way to BA to shop with one of the many participating businesses in our festive city, and get your tickets for one of the most exciting events of the year!

Now, more than ever, it is vital to shop local!  Amber Hinkle, Events Manager at Broken Arrow Chamber, stresses the importance of supporting small businesses during a difficult economic year, due to the current pandemic.  “After a year like 2020, we need to emphasize buying local and bringing people into Broken Arrow to shop,” she said.  “Buy Broken Arrow is a great incentive to find your holiday gifts here!”

For every $10 spent at a participating business, one ticket will be given, with a maximum of 100 tickets given per purchase.  On Thursday, December 17, a drawing will be held at Moody’s Jewelry at 3 p.m.  Participants do not have to be present to win.  The winning ticket holder will have one business day to claim their prize, in person, at the BA Chamber offices.  If not claimed, the second number will be drawn the next day at the same time.  Drawings will continue each day until all prizes are claimed.  Three major prizes will be awarded from the drawing:  $10,000, $3,000, and $2,000.

Additionally, during the campaign, shoppers will be encouraged to tag participating merchants’ social media pages and use #BuyBA in their posts.  A weekly drawing of a $250 cash prize will be awarded for four weeks, randomly selected from tickets distributed from those small businesses tagged.  Winners will be announced at Moody’s Jewelry, local news, BA Chamber’s website, the Buy Broken Arrow Facebook page (Facebook.com/BuyBrokenArrow), and the Chamber’s Facebook page (Facebook.com/BrokenArrowChamberandEDC.)

Moody’s Jewelry in Broken Arrow is the annual presenting sponsor of this exciting event.  First National Bank of Broken Arrow, Lamar, and Mattress Firm are Gold Sponsors.  A complete list of sponsors and participating merchants can be found on their website at www.brokenarrowchamber.com.

“When you shop locally, you’re giving back to your community,” Amber said.  “And isn’t that the whole point?  It makes you feel extra good about shopping and doing something that gives back in some way.”

Visit their website and social media to keep up with the latest news and updates, and compare your holiday shopping list with their list of participating merchants.  There is something for everyone on your gift list in Broken Arrow.
