Service Manager Bill Duensing, General Manager Kelly Summers, and Bill Knight of Bill Knight Automotive in Tulsa continue the dealership’s focus on outstanding customer service.
We are living in a world of incredible technology and electronics, and some of this magic is available at your fingertips and voice command in your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle.
“SYNC is an easy-to-use, in-car connectivity system that is available on any Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle,” says Bill Knight of Bill Knight Automotive. “SYNC allows the driver to operate most popular MP3 players, Bluetooth®-enabled phones and USB drives, all easily controlled by the sound of your voice.”
Because of the incredible functionality of today’s Ford vehicles, combined with SYNC by Microsoft, it is nearly impossible for the dealership to explain all the features and benefits at the time of delivery. For that reason, Bill Knight wants owners to drive their new vehicles for a few days, become familiar with it, and then attend one of the dealership’s “SYNC My Ride” seminars, where they will be informed of SYNC capabilities, and even have their phones paired with the new system. “We want our customers to attend a session, take a deep dive into SYNC functionality, and leave with a good understanding of the features and benefits of the incredible package they have purchased, plus a knowledgeable understanding of how to operate and personally benefit from it,” said Service Manager Bill Duensing. In addition to the staff of Bill Knight Ford and Bill Knight Lincoln Mercury, there will be members of the Best Buy Mobile Team on hand to answer any specific phone or connectivity questions you may have. Members of the Geek Squad will also assist with technical questions.
“SYNC My Ride” one-hour seminars will be limited to 25 customers per session. The April seminar will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 8. Vehicle owners with SYNC may reserve a space by calling (918) 526-2486. Also, it is not necessary to have purchased your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury from Bill Knight Automotive. Any owner is invited, and the seminars are free.
The new “SYNC My Ride” service of Bill Knight Automotive is an easy-to-use in-car connectivity system with more technology and services than you ever dreamed possible.
The latest SYNC features available to owners include turn-by-turn navigation, 911 Assist™, vehicle health report, news, sports and weather, real-time traffic, and business search. You are provided hands-free calling, audible text messages, uninterrupted connections, advanced calling features, automatic phonebook download, and so much more.
If you want to contact a person or business, you simply say a simple command and SYNC will use your connected phone to make the call – hands free. By seamlessly integrating with your mobile phone, SYNC conveniently displays caller ID, call waiting, conference calling, a caller log, contact list and a signal strength icon on your radio’s display screen. You’ll hear the person you called through your stereo speakers, and speak as though that person were sitting next to you.
If you are involved in an accident in which an airbag deploys, 911 Assist will connect you to a 911 operator through your paired mobile phone. By using your mobile phone, 911 Assist helps put you in direct touch with an operator – bypassing intermediary call centers – and if you’re unable to speak, the system delivers an urgent message to the emergency operator.
Whenever you want to know if your vehicle’s operating systems are performing properly, you simply say, “Vehicle health,” and a personalized online report is created for your automobile. It shows your vehicle’s diagnostics, scheduled maintenance information and recall information, and will let you schedule your next services online.
In addition to the “SYNC My Ride” seminars, Bill Knight Ford conducts quarterly New Owner Clinics for Ford Motor Company product owners. The next quarterly session is scheduled for 7 p.m. on April 20, 2010. It is not necessary to have purchased your vehicle from Bill Knight Ford to attend the clinic.
