Tulsans have a new event to put on their calendars! The Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo is scheduled for Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24 in the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square.
This year’s expo, sponsored by Burnett Windows & Siding, will feature a wide variety of building components, remodeling materials and service providers for your home. Some of these offerings will be seen for the very first time in Tulsa.
Attendees will receive lots of goodies simply for showing up to the event! Opening day is Earth Day, and in celebration of this national holiday, show director Frank Sawyer has announced that the first 1,000 families entering the show will be offered a Loblolly Pine Tree sapling ready to take home and plant.
In addition, each attendee will be given a voucher valued at $15 for free document shredding provided by Green Country Shredding and Recycling in Broken Arrow. This comes at the perfect time to shred that oldest year of tax records and other “spring cleaning” discards.
Show staff will also distribute 1,500 samples of Grandma’s Lye Soap and Grandma’s Laundry Soap. These nationally recognized all-natural cleaning products are made in Tulsa and provided by Remwood Products.
Show visitors will be offered the opportunity to register to win the 92.9 BOB-FM Classic Car Giveaway. Contest details are available on 929BOBFM.com, and this year’s car will be on display at the expo. There will also be drawings for $100 Reasor’s gift cards and a grand prize drawing on Sunday at 4 p.m.
HGTV celebrity Chris Lambton will be featured on the Value News Celebrity Stage over the weekend. Chris is host to HGTV’s new “Going Yard” series. Many readers may also recognize Chris from “The Bachelorette,” where he was a competing bachelor. Other local experts will also have stage sessions over the weekend. A complete stage schedule will be published on SpringHomeExpo.com about a week before the show and in the show guide available at the event.
Admission to the Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo is $6 for adults, and $5 for seniors, veterans and active military members. Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult. Tickets for the event are weekend passes – you can come on Friday and have your hand stamped to reenter on Saturday and Sunday without a new ticket. Show hours are Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo is produced by locally-owned Tulsa Home Shows, which is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau. As you are planning your upcoming weekend activities, make sure to pencil in Tulsa’s newest home and garden show, Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo, and visit SpringHomeExpo.com for additional updates, schedules and details.
