Ladies Night Out at The Market in Owasso is always a fun time. Pictured are members of the Red Hat Society: Marji Klingaman, Joyce Williams, Yvonne Dulaney, Irene Cooper and LaVerne Schneider.

Although people are supposed to relax and enjoy the holidays, an endless to-do list always seems to accompany December. What to do? Head for The Market, where you can polish off your list in just one enjoyable trip.

With locations in both Tulsa and Owasso, The Market is a destination shopping experience like no other. Customers can pull right up and park. Unlike the mall, there is no circling the parking lot to find a spot. Upon walking in, shoppers are greeted by the warm and friendly staff and are surrounded by an array of tastefully-decorated showrooms. The mood is festive but unhurried, quite a difference from the crowded malls and megastores.

The Market is home to more than 50 merchants, and each carries its own unique style of home décor, art, accessories and gifts. Affordable, upscale furniture is available, as well as boutique and children’s clothing, jewelry, candles and dishes.

Seasonal displays and holiday ideas are abundant at The Market. More than 20 Christmas trees are located throughout the building, and each has a different theme. Ornaments and decorations are offered for purchase to recreate the look in your own home. Shoppers can even mix and match from different themes in the store for a look that reflects personal taste.

“One of the best things about The Market is the selection offered in every price range,” says Susan Jamison, visual merchandiser. “Great gifts don’t have to be expensive, but if you are in the mood to splurge, we can help you there, too.”

Candles are a favorite year-round gift, and The Market carries a wide variety by Nouvelle and Votivo, in addition to a selection by the Wood Wick company. These beautiful candles actually sound like a crackling fire as they burn.

Kitchens work overtime during the holiday season. How about treating the cook in the family to some new OXO Good Grips silicone utensils? “Our kitchen store features the latest colors and styles of these easy-to-hold items,” Jamison adds.

Want to spruce up your home for the holidays? Nothing can set the tone of a room like a new piece of art. There are over 200 different framed pieces at The Market, and styles range from the Tuscan countryside to the Eiffel Tower, nature and wildlife paintings, still photography and contemporary graphics. The Market has a huge selection to enhance any décor. Dakota Rock’s Western Gallery carries artwork, photography, leatherworks and wire sculptures by over 100 artists. Many limited edition pieces are not available anywhere else in the Owasso area.

Darling clothing for children will have your little ones looking snazzy on Christmas morning. Marissa’s Room is the exclusive dealer in the area for brands such as Bunnies By the Bay and Le Top. Adorable fashions by Sweet Potato, Haven Girl and Sofi will have kids smiling big for family gatherings.

Every woman loves to see a little sparkle under the Christmas tree. The Treasured Concepts showroom carries many precious and semi-precious stones set in 14-karat gold. And the selection of loose stones will inspire many creative design options.

All the shopping that can be done at The Market is sure to make you hungry. Meet a friend at Kaffe Bona for a roasted chestnut, eggnog or gingerbread latte. Maybe peppermint hot chocolate or peppermint mocha is your preference. Located inside The Market, Kaffe Bona offers a full coffee bar and sandwiches, wraps and salads. “We use a lot of family recipes and have fresh baked goods daily,” says Christina Diliberto, manager. Kaffe Bona is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Still cannot find the perfect gift? Gift certificates from The Market are always a perfect fit. All purchases, including gift certificates, can be dolled up in pretty gift bags with decorative tissue and ribbon. A present from The Market is sure to bring a smile to any shopper.
