Rooster Days, presented by TTCU Federal Credit Union, is one of Broken Arrow’s oldest traditions. The 2023 Rooster Days will take place on May 18 through May 21. It includes a carnival, vendor shopping, delicious carnival food, a run, parade, cornhole tournament, and live entertainment.

The Miss Rooster Days program, since 1954, empowers young women to get involved in the business community and to embrace the spirit of service within Broken Arrow.

While the winner receives a scholarship to further her education, she becomes a junior Ambassador with the Broken Arrow Chamber Ambassadors. She will attend over 50 ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and other events throughout her year. Working with business leaders allows her to develop business relationships and to acquire the skills needed in today’s workforce. These include leadership, networking, and public speaking to name a few.

Sloane Beese crowned 2023 Miss Rooster Days

On March 30, Sloane Beese was crowned our 2023 Miss Rooster Days. Her career plans are to attend college and earn a degree in sports management. Sloane is an assistant teacher at Theatre Arts, enjoys watching the Tulsa Oilers Hockey games, and is a member of the Broken Arrow Youth City Council. When she thinks about our city, she believes, “Every day I wake up here I am beyond grateful. Broken Arrow has brought me my best friends, it has brought me closer to my family members, it has given me the best education I could ask for. Not many people can say they go to the most spirited high school in the nation. Broken Arrow might not have been where I was born but it’s where I was raised and I wouldn’t change that for the world.”

Miss Rooster Days Chair Jamie Miller looks forward to seeing Sloane at our upcoming community events. She encourages young women wanting to pursue this opportunity in the future to reach out now. Applications for the 2024 Miss Rooster Days will be available in early February 2024 at roosterdays.com. For additional information, please reach out to Lori Lewis, Senior Director of Membership and Community Development at the Broken Arrow Chamber, by calling 918-893-2115.
