As Mayor of the City of Tulsa, I am proud to endorse Wild Brew 2025, the George Miksch Sutton Avian Research Center’s 27th annual fundraising event that combines the best of Tulsa’s culinary scene with a critical mission: wildlife conservation and education.

What is Wild Brew?

Wild Brew is not just a celebration of great local food, craft beer, and beyond - it’s a showcase of what makes Tulsa a thriving community. This unique and always popular event directly supports the Sutton Center’s efforts to conserve endangered birds and promote environmental education across Oklahoma.

I strongly encourage all Tulsans to join me in supporting this important cause. Throughout my career both in public service and the nonprofit sector – I have championed community-driven initiatives that elevate our city’s economic vitality while protecting our natural resources.

Their participation represents the very spirit of Tulsa: innovative, generous, and committed to sustainability.

Who is The Sutton Center?

The Sutton Center has long been a leader in scientific research and wildlife conservation. From restoring populations of endangered raptors to developing powerful educational programs that inspire the next generation of environmental stewards, their work is invaluable.

I am proud to stand alongside the Sutton Center in their efforts to ensure that our wildlife is preserved for future generations. As Mayor, I am committed to strengthening Tulsa’s economic development, supporting our small businesses, and uplifting nonprofit organizations that shape the fabric of our community. The Sutton Center exemplifies the kind of visionary leadership we need-combining science, education, and public engagement to build a better future.
